My Morning Routine

This is what I eat each morning for the Liver Rescue morning which consists of:

  • Drinking 32oz. of lemon water
  • Waiting 15-30 minutes.
  • Drinking 16-32 oz. of celery juice.
  • Waiting 15-30 minutes.
  • Taking supplements.
  • Drinking a smoothie or other breakfast option.
  • While I wait 15-30 minutes between drinking things, I prepare more food for the day and clean the kitchen as needed.

The timeline for this varies depending on whether or not I have work. I can spend 1 up to 4 hours doing my celery and lemon water and smoothie in the morning/afternoon.

I have an ASMR Youtube video on my morning routine as well as a Voice Over if you prefer to listen to this content rather than read it!

Work Routine

Each morning while getting ready for work usually takes me about 45 minutes to prep and drink my lemon water, prep and drink celery juice, and prep smoothies for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I get a salad or grab leftovers for lunch.

Then it takes me about 30-40 minutes to prepare for work and take my supplements before heading out the door. I then sip my smoothie throughout the morning because drinking a liter of liquid keeps me pretty full.

Weekend Routine

I take my time on the weekends doing this routine so this can take a couple more hours to complete. Sometimes I wait too long after I wake up and I break my fast with food rather than doing the lemon water and celery juice.

On the weekend, or day I don’t have to be somewhere, I can take up to two hours doing what usually takes me 45 minutes.

My next goal is to try and keep my routine even when I don’t have to get somewhere so I’m ready to go for the day! I need to remember this in the summer because I tend to get out of a routine then and I always gain weight in the summer as a result. My goal this year is to stay in a routine so I can be more productive.

Continue reading to find out more details on the timelines of my morning routine as well as their variations. I will also discuss how these timelines have changed through the years before finding MM, during Covid, and after Covid lockdowns.

Next week I will cover the supplements I take and how I came to take them.

Detailed Timelines

In this next section, I list a detailed timeline of my morning to see how long things take me. This helped me think about how long it actually takes me to do these things as well. Sometimes I feel like it’s forever when I take my time with it, but looking at the time this way made me realize how long it actually takes.

First I’ll review a typical morning during the workweek, what a late wake-up looks like when I don’t feel like getting up early, and then what my weekends or day off looks like.

Typical Morning:

Overall it took me about 45 minutes to prep and drink celery and lemon water. Then it took me 15 minutes to do my hair and makeup, 5 minutes to get dressed, another 5 minutes to take my supplements, then 4-5 minutes to gather my things and head out the door.

  • 6:30 AM Wake up
  • 4 min to get celery juicer together and make lemon water.
  • By 6:40 I have drunk my lemon water. I start washing and making celery juice.
  • While I start making celery juice I make my smoothie or smoothies.
  • 5 min to wash celery and run one’s leftover from yesterday.
  • 5 more min to make close to 32oz. I also started my HMDS at this time.
  • Now it’s 6:52 and I’m about to make my smoothies while I let my celery run a bitlonger to process all the juice.
  • Then 6:55 I strain the juice and clean the celery juicer 6:58 I’m done.
  • I usually clean my celery juicer while I’m waiting for the 20 minutes between my lemon water and celery juice.
  • 7 am is 20 min gap.
  • 7:03 While my smoothie is blending I start eating my celery juice and finishing my extraction smoothie.
  • 7:09 I’m making the 2nd smoothie and prepping honey thyme water.
  • 7:12 I’m done with my celery and making my 2nd smoothie.
  • 7:27 I did my makeup and brushed my teeth.
  • 7:32 I’m dressed and loved on my beagle!
  • 7:36 I’m taking my supplements goal is to be on the road by 7:45
  • 7:40 I’m finished and gathering things to go out the door.
  • 7:42 out the door
  • 7:43 – 7:53 on the road
  • By 8:20 I’ll have sipped at least 1 cup of my smoothie. Sometimes I have two cups. Then I’ll sip it through the morning.
  • 11:15 Early Lunch – Sometimes I’ll finish the smoothie during lunch or after school. If I don’t have a salad or something other than another smoothie I’ll put it in the fridge and drink it on the way home. The HMDS makes about 32 oz. so this one takes me longer to drink than some of the other ones.

Waking up late @ 7:05

In this rushed state, I only took 20 minutes to prep and make things and take supplements. 12 minutes to do hair and makeup, 5 min to get dressed, and 5 min to gather things up and get on the road. Then I take my time drinking celery juice. It takes me 25 minutes to get to work so I’ll sip it the whole time and hold it in my throat at times to get it working in that area.

  • 7:07 – Lemon water only drank 16 oz while making celery juice.
  • 7:27 – I finished making celery juice; a watermelon smoothie with already cut watermelon in the fridge. I also took supplements but not all of them.
  • 7:39 done getting hair and make-up done and teeth brushed.
  • 7:49 on the road.
  • I drink Celery juice on the way to work in this scenario.
  • Then I usually wait at least 30 minutes before sipping my smoothie in school. Sometimes I wait an entire hour after Celery juice in this scenario because I don’t get a chance to drink a smoothie while I teach.

The Weekend

I’ll get up anywhere between 7-9 AM. Then I take my time with the morning routine. For the sake of the timeline, I’ll do this according to the 9 AM wake-up time. The following timeline is on a lazy day when I have nowhere to be in the morning.

  • 9 AM wake up then I’ll play on my phone looking at social media or other things for 1-2 hours at times when I’m being lazy.
  • 11 AM ish Then when I get up I’ll have the lemon water and drink that while I prep celery juice. I’ll sip the lemon water more slowly so it takes me 20 minutes to drink a lot of times and then I wait 30 minutes after I’m done sipping it to drink the celery juice.
  • While I drink my lemon water I make my celery juice, but I’m not in a rush so this takes me longer than usual. I’ll also sometimes prep a smoothie here too.
  • 11:50 I’ll sit at the TV while I drink my celery juice.
  • 11:30 I’ll be done with my celery juice and wait 30 minutes to have my smoothie while I watch TV or play games on my phone.
  • 12 PM I’ll start sipping my smoothie and I’ll drink that into 2 PM ish. Many times my husband and I will grab lunch at this point as well.
  • Sometimes I forget to take my supplements on lazy days, but I try to take them during my smoothie time if I do take them.

When I have something to do in the morning I usually stick to my 45-minute preparation. If I’m not making smoothies this time gets cut done a little but not by much.

When looking at this timeline it can seem overwhelming to see how long things take and where busy people would fit that in their schedules. Convenience is killing us! Is it easier to grab a bagel at Wawa and not prepare your own food, YES! Is it worth your health? NO.

I feel great when I stick with my morning routine. If I fall off it for a week or two because of vacation or something going on, headaches start to come back and so does the acid reflux. This stuff works!

How this timeline has evolved through the past 2.5 years.

This section is organized in my before Medical Medium era, During Covid, and After Covid. My timeline has changed a lot due to these circumstances.

Before Medical Medium

I usually needed about 45 minutes to get ready before I found Medical Medium. All of this time was spent on getting ready, preparing lunch and breakfast for the day, and going to work. I was always rushing as I’m not a morning person and don’t like getting up.

My breakfast before Medical Medium usually consisted of a coffee and a protein bar or shake. Sometimes I’d grab a bagel or sandwich from Dunkin or Wawa. These are not very healthy at all.

I thought I was healthy with the protein bar, but it turns out that Whey protein is terrible for you because Whey is from milk.

I probably spent 15 minutes max getting my food prepped for the day, and most of that was on coffee! My other things were always grab-and-go. This included me planning out my lunch by grabbing leftovers, a protein shake, or buying lunch (and usually breakfast if I was stopping there) at Wawa before the school day.

After Finding Medical Medium During Covid!

I found MM during the Lockdowns so my morning routine has evolved quite a bit in these past couple of years because of the various circumstances of the morning commute. I was fortunate to learn these things during the lockdown so I could bring it into my habits in a regular schedule as well!

During Lockdowns

I found MM during Covid lockdowns in August 2020. I was fortunate to be able to have some more time to learn his information and apply it because I was working from home so I didn’t have to commute or get completely dressed for school!

I also read parts of Cleanse to Heal during August in 2020 and completed my first 369 cleanse before school started so I felt like I knew a good amount before I had to get into a routine with school again. I was working from home that school year for half of the year, but I did spend a good portion of my days teaching classes online like regular school.

We went back to school in November teaching virtually while having to drive to school. The kids started trickling in with social distancing around January 2021. Then, more kids came back the following year and there was still a good amount of learning virtually. This year (2022/2023) was like a normal year with only a small handful still doing virtual learning.

Working from Home Routine

While I was working from home, I didn’t have to plan my lunch ahead of time because I was home. I don’t usually have time to go out at all for lunch so I always bring it to school. My morning routine does consist of me getting lunch ready as well. I try to have something planned the night before so I don’t have to think about it in the morning.

My morning routine timeline was taking all school day to complete. I would get up and do my celery juice. Then I would teach 1st period and try to drink it during class (which usually didn’t happen). I ended up drinking it during my prep 2nd period.

Then I would go downstairs and make a smoothie. Since I just finished the celery juice I  had to wait at least 20 minutes before having my smoothie. Then I would get pretty hungry for lunchtime and I’d snack on different things while I taught.

It was nice having that time to learn the recipes and being able to go downstairs to grab something if I needed it!

Working from School with Virtual Learning

I had to stick to my routine outlined above, but I could leave a little later. Most offices and things of that nature were still online so my morning commute was 15-20 minutes most days. I’d leave around 8 and get to school in plenty of time for first period which started at 8:30.

I usually got up around 7 AM for this schedule and I usually drank my celery juice in school and still took a long time to complete the morning routine.

After Covid Lockdowns

As things started gradually opening up I had to get up earlier to accommodate the longer commute to school which is what my current routine is! If I’m running late I’ll drink my celery juice on the way to work.

Overall, I love this routine. If I don’t stick to it because I’m on vacation or something, I start to feel the negative effects of not having my lemon water, celery juice, and fat-free smoothie! Headaches and acid reflux can come back up especially if I’m indulging in baked goods and cheese. I’m still figuring this whole lifestyle out!

There was a slow process in releasing lockdowns. This 2022/2023 school year was the first normal year since 2020.

The timelines listed above are my routine after these lockdowns. Traffic to school has increased my commute by about 10 minutes each way so had to leave my house earlier than I was when the lockdowns were still in place.

I hope you enjoyed learning about my routine and I hope you are inspired to try it out! Remember every small step counts! Try it out, you might just feel better

Some days I don’t have time to make a smoothie because I’m running out the door. On these days I’ll reach for plain fruit that is portable. Or at least easier to take with me and I can eat it at my destination.

In this post I also discuss feeling full and what your stomach size has to do with it! Giving your brain what it needs and what addictions have to do with this. I also discuss a bit about supporting your adrenals and volume eating. Enjoy!

If you would rather watch this content and not read it; Here is the video:)

Grab and Go Options for Breakfast

Fruit Options

  • 3 Apples
  • 3 pears
  • 3 bananas
  • ½ Melon cut up
  • Medium-sized bowl of grapes

Feeling Full

There are 3 tricks to feeling full no overt fat and no traditional protein.

  1. Give your brain what it needs.
  2. Work on healing food addictions!
  3. Eat enough according to your stomach size and try to transition into eating more plants per sitting.

Remember you need to stay fat-free in the morning and preferably all day to let your liver detox. I do not stay fat-free all day because I’m working a lot and used to the fat. There are so many ways to use the MM info to cater to your lifestyle and needs. One step in the right direction matters!

It can be intimidating to implement all the protocols at once. Just try one thing at a time! Make it a habit. Then add more protocols!

Give Your Brain What It Needs

If you are giving your body what it needs, the brain doesn’t send more signals to eat. What your brain needs are trace minerals and glucose! Trace minerals can be found in leafy greens and all things green (mostly) and glucose is in all fruits.

Food Addictions

And finally, you need to work on getting over food addictions that release adrenaline. Some foods that require adrenaline to process are caffeine and fat. Adrenaline can be addicting. I want to do a separate post on eating disorders and addiction because a lot of people are walking around with an eating disorder if they are on the SAD (Standard American Diet)!

Stomach Size

MM has a podcast episode “#029 Eating & Confused: Trying to use food to heal”. In this episode, he explains more about moderation and intuitive eating. People who eat standard things on SAD and say it’s intuitive to eat in moderation (a little bit of everything you crave) are really not giving their body what it needs.

He explained that your portion sizes stay about the same even if you work with someone to improve your health when you get sick. Functional doctors, doctors, nutritionists, dietitians, and the like can help you stay focused, but people tend to eat the same portions no matter who they work with. Portion sizes are how big your meals are. Are you eating 2 chicken breasts or just one?

The conscious needs and wants are different from the body’s needs and wants. Consciousness is programmed to eat a certain way, but then you get sick and you need to find out what your body actually needs! It can feel uncomfortable because it’s against programming. Detoxing is not always comfortable either.

Many people will not even enter this path unless they get sick first as well which is sad. Also, people will think it’s impossible to change their diet because they are still hungry after eating plants and vegetables for a meal. The next section explains why and what people need to do to improve stomach size to sustain a plant-based diet.

In general, people have condensed-calorie, high-fat meals. If you eat small portions of high-calorie high-fat foods, then you have a small stomach. If you eat larger portions of high-calorie high-fat foods, you can have a large stomach.

Shrunken Stomach Size

A shrunken stomach person may not even be able to eat even one banana in a sitting. 2 large bananas chopped up look roughly the same volume as a portion of chicken breast. A shrunken stomach person may not be able to eat all this banana bc it has protein fiber water and sugar making it more voluminous.

The bananas aren’t as dense in caloric wise and fat-wise so it’s much different than what they are used to.  One smoothie could be more volume and liquid of food compared to what they’ve eaten in a whole day of dense eating. This is why they feel full, but are hungry very quickly after eating.

Salads are usually small with lots of cheeses and meats to make them dense. Mm salads are huge in comparison and the small stomach person needs to stretch the stomach to be able to eat this way.

Avocado is an awesome transitional food for this reason! It is dense in fat and calories which can fill someone who is used to eating dense meals.

People who are on SAD usually get bits of a sugar high throughout the day with treats and snacks in between. So they may have a hard time transitioning to an MM lifestyle.

Someone trying to eat the Medical Medium way may say they are starving because they had ½ a mango and a salad throughout the day. It felt like it was enough food during the meal but they became very hungry shortly after the meal. Mm says we need to get 2 bananas in you in the morning or at least ½ of papaya to give the body the calories it needs.

Expanded stretched stomach:

This is someone who may eat two chicken drumsticks or 6 scrambled eggs at a time, and large pasta bowls. They may still need treats after this as well. They eat larger portions in general.

These people could be gaining weight or not. Stress can also aggravate the problem. They have a very large and stretched-out stomach.

Stretched stomach people also want more food transitioning to an MM lifestyle. They need to eat even more calories to feel satisfied so they should have more bananas in the smoothie; lots of apples; bring in more steamed potatoes. Eat more than one!

These people may be eating 10,000- 8,000 cal a day and not realizing it. Chicken and cheese and all the different things that they eat from different places have varying amounts of fat and the fats are what create the calories.

Fats vary in the same foods because of portion size and also how that food was raised or produced so that’s why someone may be eating more than they think because the calorie estimates are very general and inaccurate. Science is also one size fits all and to generalize to be specific.

How we may feel transitioning to a healing food diet

When starting healing foods, do you want to be easy on yourself and take it one day at a time because you may have a lot going on, including vagus, nerve inflammation, which reaches down into the stomach. You could actually feel this inflammation in your stomach as the foods are massaging the gut.

Bread and butter bread and butter move through you like a sticky gummy glue, that doesn’t massage anything. Or you may be used to eating eggs which turn into this weird liquid paste that doesn’t massage either and it does it on the walls of the intestine.

People may feel a banana because it is massaging and healing the gut. People get scared by this different feeling because they don’t know about it. The healing foods are waking things up and cleaning things up.

The healing foods are detoxing, cleansing, and purging of the liver of toxins and pathogens. Sometimes people are confused by these feelings and go the opposite direction eating all the bad things that feed the viruses.

Consciousness changes as you come to eat differently. Try incorporating one healthy habit a day to change gradually!

We can take control of our consciousness and infuse knowledge and wisdom to plant seeds of change and reprogram it to work for us!!

Supporting Your Adrenals

The best bet is to eat every 2 hours to support your adrenals. Adrenal snacks are a balance of mineral salts and glucose. So apples with some celery or cucumber are a good bet for this.

In the 3,6,9 cleanse, the last day is all juice. You are supposed to have two apple and cucumber juices to help your adrenals through the day! You also are supposed to have celery juice 2x that day which I’m assuming also helps the adrenals because you are getting plenty of glucose with the fruit juices.

My Experience

I usually don’t eat a large breakfast because celery juice and lemon water are an entire liter at the end of the morning routine. This keeps me full for at least a couple of hours. However, If I don’t have a little more fruit or something else after those hours then I will get pretty hungry.

If I’m too hungry that’s when I could cheat! The best way to prevent this is to eat every two hours!

If you are used to eating a lot of fat in the morning, try adding fruit to oatmeal and using water instead of almond milk or milk to keep it fat-free. I love having peaches and oatmeal in the morning on some days. I would take frozen peaches and add them to the oatmeal. As I would heat it would defrost.

Medical Medium has several recipes with oatmeal in the morning as well. My breakfast cookies ASMR and voice-over are the previous two videos and posts so check it out!!

My Stomach Stretching

Before I found Medical Medium, I had maybe one apple per sitting if I ever even reached for one. Now, I eat three at a time because of his information and following his recipes that explain how much of each ingredient to add.

In general, I usually eat ½ of his recipes in one sitting. This was always consistent even on a 3,6,9 cleanse and I did still feel full.

But, after following this lifestyle for 3.5 years now, I can see that my stomach is expanding. I can eat more fruits and vegetables in one sitting. My salads have become bigger as well as my smoothies!

My Food Addictions

I definitely have a fat addiction! If you are on the SAD diet, you do too! Fat is the biggest thing I crave on a 3,6,9 cleanse is fat!

I also crave chocolate a lot. I’m still working on this addiction. Adding Magnesium supplements to my supplementation has helped with this addiction quite a bit. However, I still do love some chocolate! It is so indulgent. I indulge in some dark chocolate with no milk added from the baking aisle to avoid other candy bars and things like that.

Finally, cheese is another weakness I have! My cheese addiction has subsided significantly after doing several rounds of the 3,6,9 Liver Cleanse in the first couple of years of following MM protocols. Although my addiction has subsided, it is still there with force!

On a positive note, I used to think the cheese commercials showing more and more cheese looked good. Now I think they look gross!

It reminds me of the time in middle school when the DARE told us all the nasty stuff that is in cigarettes and that completely turned me off from wanting to try them. The DARE program also told us it was OK to say no! Nancy Reagan’s, “Just say no” campaign was the reason the DARE program was created in the first place.

I know that statistically the DARE program was unsuccessful, but it worked for me! I used to love the smell of my mommom’s ashtray smoke. When my sister offered me a cigarette in middle school, I was able to say no because I knew about all the nasty stuff in cigarettes and how addictive they were!

Now, I just have to say no to all this stuff because I know what it is doing to my health. It is much harder to say no when you are in the addiction though compared to saying no before you become addicted!

Look at this article I found about the DARE program and a new one that seems more successful at keeping kids drug-free. DARE program article

Volume Eating

I came across this term and concept called “Volume Eating” on social media the other day. The person showing how much she eats was making a huge baba ganoush plate and dipping something in it for a meal. I thought of Medical Medium as I saw this because that is part of what he teaches, he just doesn’t call it volume eating.

MM recipes show that you are supposed to have a lot of salad to feel full. His Liver Rescue Salad for example has 8 cups of lettuce with a lot of topping choices. That is a big salad! His serving size suggestion for this amount is 1-2 servings.

I usually only have ½ of these larger servings. Men usually need more calories than women so I imagine the larger sizes are more for men. But this is of course a generalization and everyone is different on this front.

Also, the raw vegan accounts I follow always have HUGE plates of food they eat. I wonder if they eat the entire salad.

I also think the raw vegan movement came from Medical Medium because he has a 28-day raw vegan cleanse in his first book published in 2015. The revised and expanded version was published in 2021. This is just speculation though. If anyone knows more about this let me know I’m in the comments below!

I noticed a surge in the vegan movement around 2015 when I worked in North Philly and everyone was going vegan there. It would only last a couple of months for some people, but a lot of my coworkers were losing weight and eating just plants and staying away from bread and pasta carbs.

When starting this lifestyle I’ve seen a big community of the raw vegan lifestyle as well on YouTube and Instagram. Like I’ve said before, I like to learn by watching short videos especially about cooking and things so that is why I wanted to start this channel. I was actually thinking about making shorter cooking videos instead of the ASMR to be more informative. What do you guys think of that? Do you like the ASMR videos or would you like shorter videos to learn the recipes quicker!?

A Note on Grains

Oats

Oats

Oats are a common American breakfast, but they are considered a filler food, not a healing food. MM mentions in his endometriosis radio episode on Apple Podcast to stay away from grains if you are trying to heal Endometriosis, but he didn’t explain why!

His information is so abundant that he doesn’t always mention all the details in one resource, so I have consumed all of the things. His books, podcasts, and social media posts, including YouTube. Each resource offers more details on what is going on and how to heal. This is another reason I wanted to start this blog and YouTube to help people navigate all this information because it is a lot!

AW also has a grain episode where he goes into some info about grains and how some are detrimental to your health if you have a viral load. Grains that contain gluten feed the pathogens so you want to stay away from them completely!

On pages 146 and 147 in Brain Saver Protocols Cleanses & Recipes AW explains grains more in the “Brain Betrayer Foods” chapter. There are 20 foods in the chapter, and grains are listed as number 20. The foods are listed in order from the most harmful to the least harmful to healing. So grains are last on this list!

AW says that grains are not antiviral or antibacterial. They are carbs that have a hard time reaching the brain because the liver needs to convert the sugars in grains into bioavailable sugars that can reach the brain.

If your liver is sick or overburdened with fats, it will spend too much time in the liver and become gummy and sticky as a result. This causes a blanket for pathogens that can even protect them from getting destroyed in the liver!

By the time the liver produces the bioavailable sugar from these carbs, it is no longer useful because the chemical structure changes so much from the time it was ingested.

Grains can also be problematic because they can become addicting. The sugars eaten from grains and other fruits and vegetables compete with each other to get to the brain. Grain sugars can block fruit and vegetable sugars from getting to the brain.

The brain is always hungry. It cannot survive more than a few seconds without a supply of glucose! Because the grain sugars probably aren’t usable due to a sluggish liver, and they are blocking the good sugars from getting by, the brain is hungry.

This causes people to overeat grains because the brain is sending a signal to eat more! When we add fats like oil, avocado, pork, dairy, cheese, or eggs, the grains can become even more addictive.

Fats get in the way of healing in general because it stops the liver from detoxing, and block glucose from absorbing into the cells.

With all that being said, some people have to have grains due to budgeting reasons. Here are more grains that are OK to eat from best to worst:

  1. Millet is the best because the liver has the easiest time converting this grain into usable sugar.
  2. Oats are the 2nd best for the liver to convert.
  3. Quinoa is third but it can be scratchy on the intestinal lining.
  4. Rice (even brown rice) can be eaten, but use it sparingly because it’s less nutrient dense than the other grains mentioned above.

If you are trying to heal, stay away from fat with your grains if you have grains at all. The fat prevents the glucose from reaching the brain. Weight gain can also occur from this fat and glucose combo because the liver gets overburdened with the processing.

Bananas’ sugar is bonded to trace minerals and larger minerals like potassium. Potassium helps with neurotransmitter function (brain function).

The sugar in the banana is not the same as processed sugar. These sugars are present with fiber, pulp, water, and phytonutrients that make up the entire banana which helps fight disease. The banana also has many amino acids that work with potassium to help produce electrolytes.

Bananas are antiviral, antifungal, and help feed beneficial bacteria in the gut while removing unproductive ones.

Bananas can help with sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, and digestive problems like IBS and Crohn’s Disease. They also help balance stress and weight!

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Bananas help us pull back the peel of our false selves to expose our true inner core. They help calm a mind filled with fear, make us more productive, and help “dissolve feelings of ill will.” p61.

If you have a friend that is dealing with PTSD or resentment, give them a banana! 3 a day can help keep PTDS away!

SPIRITUAL SUPPORT

The banana plant isn’t a tree but rather a network of underground roots that shoot up with suckers. The roots are thick and wide, not more than 8 inches in the soil. The trunks are formed layer upon layer of leaves of this plant.

Banana plants grow fast with new shoots sprouting up ready to take overgrowth if the central part of the plant has been taken out by the weather.

As we reach for the sky and continue to grow and blossom in our spiritual development we need to cast our support system far and wide so we can lean on these lessons if challenges take us down.

TIPS

  • A ripe banana is yellow with brown specs on it. This is at the peak of nutrition. A green banana has enzymes that don’t allow the absorption of the fruit’s nutrients. When the skin is completely brown or black it is fermenting which can lead to a tummy ache.
  • Bananas are great for travel. Bring them with you so they’ll be ripe just when you need them.
  • Eat a banana before or after exercise to replenish the body.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a very high antioxidant more potent than other fruits and vegetables. It has Vitamins A, B-complex, and minerals such as chromium, iron, zinc, and calcium. It can help with diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, flatulence, and arthritis.

It can help shorten the duration of the flu and eliminate congestion and mucus from the body. It is also very beneficial for the circulatory system. It can reduce inflammation in the body, stop yeast infections, candida, and menstrual cramps.

It has anti-cancer properties. It also has pain-relieving antiseptic properties used in dental work.

Cranberries

Cranberries are known for their antiseptic qualities that help heal UTIs and yeast infections. This power comes from its ability to fight Streptococcus bacteria. Strep is responsible for these infections although yeast infections are classified as fungal it is actually caused by bacteria. Yeast is a reaction to the body fighting off bacterial infection. Cranberries are a powerhouse of nutrition and even processed canned cranberry sauce with many additives still have nutritious value because it is that powerful.

Physical Support

Cranberries can reverse gallbladder disease and dissolve gallstones. They are powerful liver cleansers and can help you pass kidney stones with ease. They can dislodge earwax buildup and bring back hearing.

They are high in antioxidants such as anthocyanins that help heal cardiovascular disease and arteriosclerosis. They destroy toxic hormones because they have phytoestrogen compounds that disarm estrogens from outside sources. Some estrogens from outside sources include plastics, environmental pollutants, pesticides, and other synthetic chemicals.

They draw radiation out of the body with the compounds and agents present. The amino acids protect connective tissue and the enzymes present can detoxify your organs. Cranberries have over 50 trace minerals to address deficiencies you may have.

They have compounds that halt the growth of bacteria, viruses, and anything unproductive growing and proliferating inside. They help provide support in stressful times. They also help you lose weight by suppressing your appetite. Eat a bowl a day to see these benefits!

Emotional Support

Eating cranberries can light your path and make you less confused about decisions or where you are in your life. They promote a cheery disposition. Cranberries grow in a very orderly fashion. Add these in your life to help you get more organized in the body and your space.

They help with feelings of humiliation and rejection. If you feel alienated, cranberries can help you feel connected to the community.

Spiritual Support

The cranberry vine stays low to the ground to protect itself from the weather. It takes advantage of good conditions in the peak of its season to dance in the wind and sun. We can learn from the cranberry plant by learning to stand up and dance in the sun with joy at times even though our adult responsibilities keep us in protective mode.

Tips

  • Try frozen cranberries in oatmeal or your smoothies.
  • If buying cranberry juice, look for one that has no additives like sugars, preservatives or other additives.
  • Try eating them with a handful of walnuts to take out the tart taste.
  • If you really hate the taste of cranberries, you can keep them out on the counter and run your hands over them as you pass. They will give you some physical benefit this way as well. Just looking at them can also help you.

Grapes

This post is to highlight raisins.

Grapes promote wellness. Some people think they are too high in sugar and carbs, but it is the tartness that also stands out.

Physical Support

The tart flavor is an indication that the grade has phytochemicals critical to kidney function. If you have elevated levels of creatinine that means your kidneys can no longer take out the waste matter from the bloodstream. The phytochemicals in the grapes bind onto this waste matter to remove them out of the body.

Grapes are an amazing liver-cleansing food. The phytochemicals dislodge debris, processed food, and by-products that can clog up the lobules in the liver. ScienceDirect.com tells us that liver lobules are white immune cells that help protect the liver from pathogens. It’s important to keep our bodies clean so these immune cells can see the pathogens and attack.

Grapes are also beneficial to the digestive system because they have micronutrients that expel parasites, mold, and other unproductive fungi from the digestive tract. The dark color in grapes is created by antioxidants such as malvidin and anthocyanins can help prevent cancer.

They fight the unforgiving 4 are the viral explosion, DDT, toxic heavy metals, and radiation. They expel radiation. Their amino acids and cysteine work with anthocyanins to become a magnet that draws DDT and toxic heavy metals out of the liver, kidneys, spleen, and other organs. They are also antiviral which fights the viruses we contract due to this viral explosion.

They are an energy food and can give athletes or thinkers a boost when you are constantly on the go. They can help give you the fuel you need for your next big idea!

Emotional Support

Look to grapes for emotional support because they can help lift your spirits and keep you light-hearted. They can help you feel better if you feel left out in life. If you were passed up for a job, then grapes can help you think about new opportunities! Grapes can also help us embrace change and find out if we feel aloof or complacent.

Spiritual Support

Look to grapes for spiritual support because when they grow they bunch together. They connect with each other physically and metaphysically. They fit together so perfectly in their bunches because they adjust to do so around each other. We can look at this as we eat them to help us find our people both consciously and subconsciously. They can help us find our true home and make us feel like we belong.

Tips

  • Raisins should not be overlooked. They are more powerful for your health than goji berries!
  • Here is a recipe for grape jelly. Concord grapes, raw honey, and a squeeze of lemon as a preservative. Put all these in the food processor and serve. The sugar in the honey binds to the medicinal qualities of the grapes and makes them bioavailable. They can be delivered deep into the organs.

Materials
  • High-Speed Blender
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Ingredients (pick one!)

  • Watermelon
  • Cantaloupe
  • Honeydew
  • Any other melon! I’ve used Dino melons before at Lidle.

Directions

  1. Cut up the melon.
  2. Deseed.
  3. Blend in a blender.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
  5. For juice, run melon through a juicer or blend and strain with a nut milk bag.

Tips

  • I like to juice watermelon because this was the direction for the original 3,6,9 Liver Rescue Cleanse and it is so delicious! I run it through my MM900.
  • Blended cantaloupe was also in the last day of the original 3,6,9 Liver Rescue Cleanse and it is filling and delicious!
  • If you ate a heavy meal or drank alcohol the night before, don’t start your morning with this. The cleansing effect can be very intense. On the 3,6,9 these drinks are saved for day 9. The process before day 9 prepares your body for this intense detox! You may want to lessen the amount or just not have it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I found out the hard way about this detox effect at the shore last summer!
  • If you like less pulp in your smoothie; strain the pulp out.

Melons

Melons are critical to the healing process and can bring you to the “palace of health”. If you think back to how many melons you have eaten in a year, it may only be a total of one because we tend to have slices of melon with meals if you don’t follow MM info.

Melons are like mother’s milk because they are high in enzymes and coenzymes that help strengthen them. The flesh of the melon is also predigested. That means the digestive system doesn’t need to work hard to assimilate the nutrients in the body. The fructose (fruit sugar) in melons leaves the stomach in less than one minute and drops into the intestinal tract fortifying the body quickly. This is like getting IV nutrient therapy!

Melons are basically balls of purified water and they contain exactly what our bodies need. These balls of active fluid bind onto poisons and toxins to flush them out of the body. This restores our immune system. Some of the poisons include mold, mycotoxins, viral neurotoxins, undigested protein toxins, ammonia gas, and bacterial toxins.

Melons also have a high electrolyte content which protects the brain and the rest of the nervous system from stress-related strokes, aneurysms, and embolisms.

Melon also thins out the blood and reduces the risk of heart attack.  They help with heart and vascular health and reduce liver or kidney disease. Incorporating melon if you have a liver or kidney malfunction can be the difference between life and death.

The water in melons is identical to our blood. It has sodium, potassium, and glucose that are very hydrating to our bodies. This hydration can help you lower blood pressure as well.

Melon is also very alkalizing. Its trace minerals are highly bioactive and bioavailable which means they are easily used in the body. The body’s detox process is amplified by this which drives out traces of DDT, pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals from deep within the organs.

Melons are also high in silica which is an excellent resource for ligaments, joints, bones, teeth, connective tissue, and tendons to restore. Melon is also a powerful glucose balancer and prevents insulin resistance. It also helps lower elevated A1C levels.

The Cleveland Clinic tells us that A1C is a measure of how much blood sugar is present in your blood over the past 3 months. It is a percentage and it helps determine prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes.

Emotional Support

Look to the melon for emotional support if you are easily frightened, have a difficult time hearing bad news, dealing with PTSD, or heavy emotions. Melons can shift you out of nervousness, skittishness, anxiety, and uneasiness.

Melons can also help you calm down and become more patient in waiting for news. You can offer melons to people who lack patience or are very judgmental. The melon can open up a channel for the person to be more accepting!

Spiritual Support

Look to the melon for spiritual support because it teaches us that we don’t have to fight so hard for the things we want in life. There are powerful forces afoot to make the predigested flesh of the melon without us even realizing! We can rely on spiritual forces to give us opportunities and aid in our healing without a ton of labor on our parts. Of course we should always also take action in health, but spiritual forces also help! We just need to allow for this grace in our daily life and have the mindset that we can heal, and ask for this healing as well.

Tips

  • Try to incorporate at least half of a small melon per day in your diet to get the most benefit.
  • The predigested flesh of the melon can cause a stomach ache for some of you who have eaten a heavy meal the day before, during the day or have melon with a heavy meal. The flesh can get stuck in the gut and ferment with these heavy fats and proteins. Eating them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is best.
  • To determine ripeness of the melon when growing your own, look at the scent. A sweet aroma and a bit of give on the blossom are good indications of ripeness.

If you prefer to listen to this content rather than read it, check out this YouTube Video.

Materials

  • High-Speed Blender
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

Original Aloe Cooler

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • ¼ Aloe Leaf (about 2 tbsp or 2” of the leaf).

2nd Variation – All ingredients in original +

  • 1 cup of parsley

3rd Variation – All ingredients in the original +

  • 1-2 cups Strawberries
  • 1 cup parsley

4th Variation – All ingredients in the original +

  • 2 cups pineapple
  • 3 mint leaves
  • 1 lime juiced

This is the Aloe – Pineapple – Juice Cooler from the MM Blog linked in the resources section at the end of this article.

Directions

  1. Cut off 2” of the aloe leave and filet the gel. Here is a video on how to do this.
  2. Squeeze the juice of two oranges into the blender.
  3. Add all other ingredients to the blender.
  4. Add a cup of coconut water.
  5. Blend and enjoy.

Optional: add some parsley or strawberries for an amazing flavor! Parsley is also very alkalizing.

Another Option: add pineapple to change the flavor some as well. I wouldn’t put the parsley with the pineapple because it doesn’t taste great.

Tips

Make sure to invest in a high-speed blender. When I made this using my Nutribullet, I didn’t like the texture as much because the gel of the aloe didn’t grind down enough and I could feel the chunks of it. If the aloe is mixed well, then you cannot taste it.

Also, If the aloe taste is too bitter, then cut off the end and put a wet paper towel at the end to get some of the reddish/yellowish liquid out stuff out. Let it sit in the fridge with a wet paper towel around the end for a couple hours before or overnight before making this to get the bitter taste out. Once you get used to it more you won’t have to do this step.

I noticed this because the drink would be gross to me the first day I would cut Aloe, but then to store it I found online to put the wet paper towel around the edge and put it in the fridge. One Aloe leaf usually lasts me about a week. The next day, I noticed I enjoyed the drink more.

Now, I use fresh aloe without waiting and it tastes fine to me. Your taste buds change as you eat differently.

This reddish/yellow liquid is called Aloin and has many healing properties, but if you aren’t used to eating Aloe fresh, you may want to try and get some of it out at first.

I found that this liquid was called Aloin from learningherbs.com. You can find more information about what this aloin does on the website listen in more resources at aloveria.com. Finally, Muneeza also has a strategy to make it a little sweeter here also listed in more resources. It is a simple trick to take out the bitterness in aloe.

What Each Ingredient Does

From Life-Changing Foods and the MM Blog

ORANGES

Oranges have a coenzyme, Glutathione, which is activated by its high content of flavonoids and limonoids. These three things fight off viruses, protect the body from radiation damage, and deactivate toxic heavy metals in the system.

Oranges can help regrow teeth due to their bioactive calcium.

The acid in oranges can help dissolve kidney stones and gallstones as well!

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Orange juice can cut through doom and gloom and bring liquid sunshine into your life! Eat them when feeling sun-deprived in the winter. They will fill you with warmth!

SPIRITUAL SUPPORT

Oranges take a backseat in our diet. We don’t think much of them. In the past, our ancestors would treat the orange like gold because they weren’t always available, especially in the winter. When they were, they usually went to the very wealthy rather than the regular townsperson.

We need to think about what in our lives we have devalued and take a second glance. The orange is readily available during all times of the year. We need to value it again and make it central in our diets to help with many health issues!

Coconut

Coconut water and coconut oil have become more popular in the health field more recently and coconut water was used as IV fluid for wounded soldiers in WWII. Coconut water is very similar to human blood.

The coconut can get in touch with elements of healing foods and amplify them. If you add coconut water to a smoothie with parsley, the coconut water increases the ability of the parsley to alkalize the body by 50%. It also improves its trace mineral salts.

Coconut ignites amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients in food. This helps nourish us to perform our life purpose + some. Coconuts are tropical and need warmth to grow. Humans are tropical creatures in our roots and we also need heat to survive. Therefore, coconut puts us in touch with the essence of our foundations of who we are.

Coconut water can support good sleep because it provides vital glucose and critical mineral salts, including potassium and sodium, to the bloodstream. Glucose and mineral salts are fundamental elements of brain health and support neurotransmitter chemicals we need for sleep.

Coconut water’s trace minerals and electrolytes nourish reproductive tissue which can help with infertility and other disorders involving the reproductive system. Coconut water also helps with blood sugar levels which helps diabetes and hypoglycemia. It can help with any brain neurological disorder like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Coconut meat (and the oil from the meat) is antipathogenic because of the lauric acid content combined with other antioxidants in the coconut. Coconut has the ability to kill any pathogen it touches in the intestinal tract. It also loosens other fats and pushes them out of the body using its medium-chain fatty acids.

Emotional Support

Coconut helps people open emotional channels that allow them to let go of self-addiction where they constantly weigh their own needs against others. Narcissists and self-consumed people who don’t seem to care about others can benefit from opening up to a more empathetic nature.

Spiritual Support

Coconut trees drop their seeds (the coconuts) in storms. They do this because they want to lighten their load even though their seeds are their most precious commodity. They need to lighten the load to endure the storm. They teach us to let go of things that seem really precious to us in hard times and that the sun will always come out again. What matters is that you are OK at the moment.

Tips

Find coconut water free of additives like citric acid, natural flavors, and cane sugar. Steer clear of pink coconut water because this is a sign it is oxidizing and going bad.

If you get a hold of a young green coconut consume it within a couple of days to prevent cleaning up coconut water from the ceiling and walls from the popped coconut if it sits. If you can’t access fresh coconut then get jarred coconut butter, frozen coconut meat or use coconut oil in cooking.

Coconuts can help reduce your fear of open water because they are excellent swimmers! The seed is buoyant and floats in the water until it lands on another shore to root. They can help us with our swimming fears.

If you have trouble sleeping from the full moon due to its subtle gravitational pull, try having some coconut to get those electrolytes and mineral salts that support the brain neurotransmitters.

Aloe Vera

Aloe is well known for its uses outside of the body including sunburn, cuts, bruises, bug bites, and burns. It is much more beneficial to take it internally. It can help cleanse your colon and relieve constipation.

It has over 70 trace minerals that are grouped together with undiscovered medicinal alloys. These make the aloe anti-inflammatory and help rejuvenate and repair parts of the digestive system like the appendix, ileum, and intestinal tract. Healing the ilium can help with b12 production because that is where it is produced.

It is antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-parasitic. This helps eliminate all kinds of digestive cancers. The beta-carotene and lignins in aloe vera also remove radiation from the body.

Emotional Support

Look to aloe for emotional support because it helps you through major transitions like moving or feeling lost. This wild food will help you feel at peace with your surroundings.

Spiritual Support

Aloe has been around since ancient times and most people are unaware of all its uses. When we start to realize what aloe can do for us, we can be inspired to look at the world around us with fresh eyes. This also helps us look into other uses of the things already around us.

Tips

Even if Aloe is grown at home or bought in the grocery store it still maintains its wild food nature. Aloe helps the skin more when taken internally and can help with bags under the eyes and bring back a youthful glow. You can use fresh aloe gel on scratch rashes, tick and flea bites, and hair fur loss on pets.

Parsley

This herb has all the elements of the other aromatic herbs, but it was listed on its own in Life Changing Foods because of its power to alkalize the body. The mineral salts in parsley help make it alkalizing. It can help alkalize all systems in the body rather than just one or two especially if you consume it in your daily routine. These properties help drive our acidity, and diseases such as cancer thrive in an acidic environment.

It is an all-pathogen fighter and can pull out herbicides and pesticides. It has B vitamins including folic acid, traces of B12 coenzymes, and vitamins A, C, and K. it is remineralizing from the trace minerals including magnesium, sulfur, iron, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, chromium, selenium, iodine, and calcium. It can also help the adrenals.

Emotional Support

Parsley can help you balance your state of mind and being. If you feel like people around you or you are on an emotional roller coaster, offer them some parsley.

Spiritual Support

Parsley teaches us to not ignore things that could ultimately help us. People miss out on these health benefits because they don’t like the taste. When people don’t like the taste they tend to stay away from it.

Pineapple

In Liver Rescue we learn that Pineapple dissolves gallstones. It is highly acidic and has many chemical compounds that enter the liver easily. These healing chemical compounds brush the inside of the liver getting rid of the “sticky, mucous-y, debris, gunk, and by-product that can build up inside of the liver from troublemakers” like food and chemicals, heavy metals, and viruses.

Pineapple helps cleanse and detox the entire body. It can also burn fat and tone the stomach.

Tip: If you cannot handle pineapple’s astringency, then only eat the bottom ⅔ of the pineapple.

What Each Ingredient Does From Life-Changing Foods and the MM Blog

Please continue reading to find out what each ingredient does for us from Life Changing Foods by Anthony William the Medical Medium. I’ve copied these from my previous blogs with more resource links attached to the original blog. This information was taken from the books and the MM Blog. Sometimes I supplement another website for more information as well.

Potatoes pgs. 158-161

Potatoes have been wrongly accused of being a disease-causing food when they are in fact healing if you don’t have them with a ton of fat, oil, butter, and cheese. The reason potatoes have got a bad rap is because of the oil, fat, and butter that is usually added to the potato in the traditional diet. The fat combined with the carbs is the true cause of insulin resistance and a bad A1C count. It is the fat, not the potato! Potatoes are naturally fat-free!

The skin of the potato which can be red, brown, gold, blue, or purple, is filled with amino acids, proteins, and phytochemicals. Potatoes both inside and out “draw some of the highest concentration of macro and trace minerals from the earth.” (p159).

They are high in potassium, vitamin B6, and amino acids. One bioavailable amino acid is Lysine which is a “powerful weapon against cancers, liver disease, inflammation, and the viruses such as Epstein Barr and shingles. These viruses are responsible for many autoimmune conditions.

MM also mentions in Liver Rescue that Lysine creates a smoke screen in the liver so the viruses can’t see. The liver’s immune system can then start attacking the virus and it helps the liver a lot.

They are antiviral and antifungal which help with strengthening kidneys, soothing nerves, and the digestive tract which can reverse Crohn’s, colitis, IBS, or peptic ulcers.

They have nutritional cofactors and bioactive compounds that keep us healthy and help with stress. Potatoes can also keep us grounded and centered because they are a brain food. The potato can spring to life when you put it on the counter in a cup of water. This is a powerful potato!

I wonder if he says more about potatoes being a brain food in Brain Saver!

Emotional Support

Potatoes reorient us and ground us. They offer these things especially if we are feeling troubled or adrift in our lives. They can calm down a consuming ego and ignite the humble confidence within. They can help calm toxic emotions that can keep us from getting to our goals. They can help us feel grateful for our experiences and help us make grounding and stable decisions.

Spiritual Support

Potatoes are so grounding because of the way they grow. They grow in clusters and have a large network, kind of like an extended family. They come in large numbers kind of like a large family of loved ones fighting for us!

The potato is a great food to turn to when you feel like the underdog and overlooked. It can help you energetically feel grounded and like you belong. So much of us is beneath the surface, and we are supported and witnessed, and we deserve to “unearth our true nature and share it with the world!” (p160).

Tips

Seek out organic if possible due to their absorbing nature when they grow. The best way to prepare the potato to keep all the nutrients intake is to steam them. You can batch-steam them and pull them from the fridge to add to recipes throughout the week.

Put a raw potato directly on a cold sore for relief.

You can put a potato on the kitchen counter or somewhere else in the home to help absorb negative effects of signals from wireless internet, cell signals, and EMF. They can also soak up and neutralize negative emotional energy we can pick up through the day and bring home to us. If you leave a potato out, don’t eat it and toss it after 5-7 days.

Potatoes can also help support and sustain happy emotions from a celebratory event like a wedding or special occasion. Be sure to include them on the menu for these things!

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes feed good bacteria in the digestive tract.  They starve unproductive bacteria and mold that hang out there. They enhance the body’s production of B12 because they get rid of these bad things. It reduces megacolon that can happen from bad bacteria and helps prevent the narrowing of the intestinal tract that can happen with Chrons and colitis.

They have MANY vitamins and minerals including carotenoids and beta-carotene and lycopene. The phytochemicals are very powerful and can help your skin look sun-kissed if you eat enough of them.

The lycopene and amino acids present in sweet potatoes help pull out radiation from the body. The phytochemicals prevent cancer.  They help regulate hair growth by making it grow and inhibiting it where you don’t want it to grow.

Sweet potatoes are phytoestrogenic which rids the body of unusable and destructive estrogen. This estrogen interferes with the body’s hormone function. They come from plastics, pharmaceuticals, food, environmental toxins, and the body produces more estrogen than it needs to do eating estrogen-producing foods.

The excess estrogen sits in the organs and inhibits the endocrine system from working at its full capacity. The phytoestrogenic qualities help rid the body of excess estrogen and make way for the good stuff!

They help with insomnia and other sleeping disorders because the form of glucose they provide stimulates neurotransmitters to make glycine, dopamine, GABA, and serotonin. All of these neurotransmitters help you sleep better.

Emotional Support

Sweet potatoes are the ultimate comfort food and can help us block out the world around us in hard times. This can make us feel safe and soothed like “you are getting a hug even if no one’s there to give you one so that you can draw up the strength to deal with hard times.” (p176)

Spiritual Support

We tend to overindulge in the sweet potato by adding butter, sweet cream, and more to it for traditional recipes. The sweet potato bubbles up and drips down the sides on its very own because of how sweet it naturally is!

Sweet potatoes help us appreciate the gifts we have received when we think it isn’t enough. It teaches us to look at where we are adding unnecessary toppings in life.

Tips

Try to eat one sweet potato a day to get the most benefit! If you crave creaminess with the potato, try adding avocado instead of butter.

Cook the sweet potato in bulk by either steaming or baking them and store them in the fridge. Add sweet potatoes to salads to help the body assimilate nutrients even better from the salad. You can also have a few bites of sweet potato in the middle of the night to help you sleep if you can’t sleep well.

Rubbing raw sweet potato on a scar can help it heal and reduce scar tissue. Instead of using cucumbers under the eye; try steamed sweet potatoes to bring back a youthful look!

Eat a sweet potato if you are sunburned to recover faster. If you have a lot of scar tissue in the body from surgeries then eat two sweet potatoes daily for one week. Then eat 1 sweet potato daily for three weeks. Repeat until scar tissue improves.

If you are going to watch a scary movie or action-packed film, eat a sweet potato beforehand to support your adrenals.

Onions

Leeks, chives, ramps, scallions, red onions, yellow onions, white onions, shallots, and other alliums are nature’s antibiotics. The sulfur in them makes them antibiotic. If onions cause you discomfort when you eat them, you could have a large number of unproductive bacteria in your digestive tract that the onions help eliminate. That die-off can result in an upset stomach.

They help kill unproductive bacteria throughout the entire body which also helps the body produce B12. People dealing with SIBO will benefit from adding this to their diets in a large way!

If you are sensitive to onions’ cleansing power, try adding them to the diet slowly and increasing them over time.

The sulfur in onions pulls out radiation from the body. It also pulls out viruses, pesticides, herbicides, and toxic heavy metals. The sulfur also alleviates joint pain and repairs connective tissue and tendons. It also slows iron loss in the body.

Onions are high in trace minerals zinc, manganese, iodine, and selenium. They rejuvenate the skin and protect the lungs.

Onions can help with shortening flus and breaks up mucus from the stool and soothe the intestinal tract. Onions are medicine against pathogens of all sorts.

Emotional Support

Onions purge anger from the body. They “loosen up resentment, fury, vexation, and disappointment so you can be free to live your life.” (p153)

Spiritual Support

Onions help us appreciate people who work hard to alleviate a problem but mistakenly get the blame, like a parent pointing out how to fix homework to a child. Onions get the blame for bad breath when in fact they are helping the breath by eliminating bad bacteria. “The next time you’re in a situation where you’re quick to point a finger, keep in mind the plight of the onion, and take a moment to analyze every angle.” (p154).

Tips

Don’t soak the onions because that lessens the medicinal qualities. If you do decide to eat an unhealthy item; be sure to put raw onion on it to counter the bad.

When ordering out at restaurants, order things with onions to avoid picking up viruses. When picking onions at the market, make sure they are firm and not sprouting green. If they have fresh greens from them because they were just picked, this is different and they are very beneficial.

To break up sinus congestion, cut an onion into a bowl of hot water and put a towel over your head and the bowl to breathe in the steam. This will help break up the congestion and mucus.

Onions eaten daily can increase circulation of the body and help with cold hands and feet.

Bell Peppers

Bell peppers are not in the Vegetable section of the Holy 4 food groups. You can however find a blog post about the benefits of bell peppers on the MM blog. The link is in the “more information” section.

Physical Support-

Bell peppers help lower cholesterol and have anti-cancer compounds that help lower the risk of certain cancers. They help with memory and concentration in the brain. The fiber in the bell pepper can help keep you full to curb your appetite which in turn aids in weight loss.

The green bell pepper is unripe so go for the red, orange, and yellow versions of this pepper to get the most vitamins and minerals. These peppers help in general with the immune system as well.

Eating unripe (or overly ripe) fruits or vegetables can lead to a stomach ache!

Their sweet crunchy taste makes them perfect to snack on or to have in salads or wraps as well.

Aromatic Herbs (Oregano, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme)

Aromatic herbs pose high levels of minerals and disease-fighting phytochemical compounds. They release an antifungal compound through their roots that earthworms love. The earthworms help fertilize and aerate the soil as they eat this compound helping the wild plants thrive.

Oregano is antibacterial. Oregano oil is also antibacterial and effective against E.coli and ringworm. Oregano can help fight H. pylori, Streptococcus, and E. coli which minimizes SIBO.

Rosemary is also antibacterial and can help fight antibiotic-resistant bacteria like Streptococcus and much more.

Sage fights fungus. It can also remove heavy metals from the intestinal tract.

Thyme is antiviral and can fight viruses that are in the herpetic family that cause neurological symptoms. Thyme can cross the blood-brain barrier which can help it attack viruses that have started to attack the brain or spinal cord which results in neurological symptoms.

Emotional Support

These herbs can help level you out. They “break the cycle of feeling consistently overstimulated, so that you can take what comes on more of an even keel”, especially during stressful times. (p183).

Spiritual Support

These herbs help us connect with our most essential selves. They have been around since the beginning of humankind and have adapted with us through the ages. They help remind us who or what is there in our lives to connect us to ourselves. (p183)

Tips

Add these herbs to your daily cooking to get them in your arsenal. Try using essential oils of these herbs to help clean the mind, body, and soul. For example, you can add rosemary essential oil to a bath to purify it.

Garlic

Garlic is antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-mold, anti-parasitic, and rich in phytochemical allicin, a sulfur compound that prevents disease.

Bad bacteria run on a positive charge, draining us of energy because humans run on a negative charge. Garlic helps kill the positively charged bacteria in the gut and helps the negatively charged bacteria in the intestinal tract and gut. Garlic has anti-pathogenic properties that run on a positive charge. This likeness rids the body of positively charged pathogens.

“It can help fight colds, flues, strep throat, pneumonia-causing bacteria, and viral-related cancers. It also extracts heavy metals in the colon and gives you a powerful immune boost.” (p194)

Emotional Support

Turn to garlic when you need protection and shelter, especially when starting new things or being exposed to new things.

Spiritual Support

When garlic is harvested, it needs time to rest in the garden bed to build its immune system from all the things that attack plants when they grow. They get strength through the growing season and can pass that on to us. We need to take a cue from garlic and take time to rest and be away from pathogens so we can prepare for our growing season. (p195).

Tips

Garlic is best consumed raw. Try mixing it into dips and dressings to get it into your diet. Try to get one clove a day of fresh raw garlic to get medicine and protect yourself from pathogens. If you feel like you are getting sick, mash a clove into a banana or ½ of an avocado or some cooked potato. Do this three times a day and consume to feel better.

Paprika

This is not in the book but it is on the MM blog: https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/paprika .

Paprika is high in vitamins A & C. It has many bioflavonoids, antioxidants, and carotenes. Paprika can relieve sore throats, runny noses, congestion, and headaches which are symptoms of the common cold.

The capsicum in this spice is the same found in chili and bell peppers. Its unique flavor can range from very sweet to very hot. This quality has pain-relieving properties.

Paprika has a very high amount of vitamin C which does many beneficial things for the body. Vitamin C helps the body assimilate iron, strengthen the immune system, and protect against cardiovascular disease including heart attacks and stroke.

It can aid in digestion and improve circulation. It can also normalize blood pressure and feed the cell structure of the arteries, veins, and capillaries to regain elasticity. It is a great internal warmer in cold weather.

It is antibacterial and can protect from salmonella and E. coli in the digestive tract. It can also help fight common infections in the body.

Add paprika to your food like soups, salsa, guacamole, roasted veggies, potatoes, and cauliflower. A pinch can be added to a smoothie as well to get all the benefits mentioned above.

Broccoli, Red Cabbage, and Green Cabbage

Broccoli, red cabbage, and green cabbage are all in the Cruciferous Vegetables in the Vegetable section of the Holy 4 food groups. They are found on pages 136-141 of “Life-Changing Foods” by Anthony William the Medical Medium.

Other cruciferous vegetables include brussels sprouts, kale, broccoli rabe, arugula, and mustard greens.

Physical Support-

Cruciferous vegetables can ignite hidden healing abilities of other foods when eaten in certain combinations. One of the four combinations mentioned in the tips section is asparagus and broccoli. When eaten together, the broccoli activates cancer-fighting compounds in the asparagus.

Cruciferous vegetables can pull out radiation from the Thyroid that most likely got there from dental work. They are also good for lung health because of the two different types of sulfur in them. They can help restore and stimulate the growth of lung tissue. (p136)

Red cabbage can reverse scar tissue in the liver. Broccoli is like an all-purpose multivitamin that is amazing for the immune system. Broccoli can help every organ, gland, bone, nerve, and more! Green cabbage supports the joints and can reverse osteoporosis.

Emotional Support –

Cruciferous vegetables will help with confusion in general. Sit with a bowl of these vegetables to gain clarity.

Spiritual Support –

Cruciferous vegetables help make room for patience and thankfulness for ourselves and others in our lives. If you have had anyone stab you in the back, take comfort in the fact that these vegetables have been caring for our bodies for a long time and have had recent attacks on them about harming the Thyroid. In fact, they help the thyroid, not harm it. We need to honor those that have helped us, not turn our backs on them.

Red Pepper Flakes

Red Pepper Flakes are a hot pepper! MM mentions in Facebook and Instagram posts that hot peppers help stimulate a stagnant and sluggish liver.  They also help to reset the liver.

Asparagus pgs. 128-130

Asparagus is the fountain of youth! All the single stalks of asparagus were on their way to become small trees and they have so much life force and energy coursing through them. It is similar to when we were at our peak age and performance as well. When we eat young shoots, their energy is transferred to us. This propulsive energy keeps us young and helps us recover and prevent all kinds of symptoms.

They contain phytochemical compounds such as chlorophyll and lutein that help clean the organs well. They get deep into organs and scrub the toxins out. The chlorophyll in them, when bonded to amino acids such as glutamine, threonine, and serine, provides heavy metal detox as well.

Some of the phytochemicals present in asparagus inhibit toxins such as DDT, other pesticides, and heavy metals that may be new to our bodies which helps prevent them from taking residence in the organs. This toxin inhibition helps fight all types of cancers.

It attacks new toxins and other parts of the asparagus scrub the old stuff that has gone deep into organs out!

Asparagus has a lot of easily absorbable B vitamins. When we are under a lot of stress the body uses a lot of B vitamins. The high amount of these vitamins in asparagus helps us reestablish proper levels of these nutrients so we don’t become deficient.

The silica and trace minerals such as iron, zinc, molybdenum, chromium, phosphorus, magnesium, and selenium help the body support the adrenals. These glands are pushed to the max when we consume caffeine, are under stress, or are dealing with pretty much anything that isn’t peaceful!

Finally, asparagus alkalizes the body by flushing out unproductive acids. Disease flourishes in an acidic environment and we get acidic in our bodies with things we consume and all the toxins and pathogens we are faced against. That is why it is important to turn to alkalizing foods like asparagus and parsley.

Emotional Support

Look to asparagus if you struggle with shyness, self-consciousness and concern over what others think of you. Asparagus can help you gain the confidence you need to claim your place in the world!

Spiritual Support

We harvest asparagus as a sprout. If we let it grow it would get woody and inedible. Farmers have learned the right time to pick the asparagus for optimum taste. We can apply this to our own lives by recognizing cycles and growth throughout our lives. We need to see when things reach their peak and know when to head things and harness the energy and power of that cycle. Doing this ensures the best possible outcome.

CILANTRO

Cilantro removes heavy metals from the brain because the mineral salts like sodium, potassium, and chloride present in the living water of the leaves and stems can travel through the bloodstream, lymph fluid, spinal fluid, and blood-brain barrier. The brain likes to suck up these mineral salts.

When cilantro’s phytochemical compounds are attached to the mineral salts, they can remove the heavy metals and oxidized residue from neurons in the brain helping the brain work better overall!

AW speaks of the cilantro aversion here as well and tells us that it is from the oxidation of heavy metals and the toxic runoff goes into the lymphatic system and the saliva. This runoff doesn’t mean there are more toxic metals, but a certain combination causes toxic runoff. If you don’t like it, it probably means you need it.

Cilantro is antiviral and antibacterial. Pathogens and parasites don’t like the taste of it! It can extract heavy metals from every part of the body including the liver! It helps the adrenals, balances glucose levels, and helps with weight gain.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Cilantro helps us to find out our path in life without getting distracted by others’ behaviors or other options.

SPIRITUAL SUPPORT

Cilantro never stops pulling out heavy metals from our bodies. This teaches us that in life we can pull out negative emotions as well. If people in our lives need help; we can help them move past their problems by just lending a sympathetic ear. We can also purge negative self-talk and beliefs that don’t serve us as we heal! (p191)

These properties help drive our acidity; and diseases such as cancer thrive in an acidic environment.

It is an all-pathogen fighter and can pull out herbicides and pesticides. It has B vitamins including folic acid, traces of B12 coenzymes and vitamins A, C, and K.

Benefits of Sprouts & Microgreens

Sprouts and microgreens bring back vitality to people who feel like they’ve lost it because they give so much to others. They can support you when you put your all into your endeavors. They are packed with vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, disease fighting compounds, and other phytochemicals.

They are very supportive of a woman’s reproductive health. They renew a depleted reproductive battery. Our reproductive drive can be turned off with the use of birth control for years telling our body we don’t want to have a baby.

They rebalance the reproductive hormones like progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone because they have phytoestrogenic compounds. After a woman gives birth microgreens can help regenerate hormones created by the adrenals, thyroid, and the entire endocrine system.

For brain health, they provide amino acids, enzymes, and mineral salts that help with neurotransmitter production. They also pull out heavy metals from the brain and strengthen neurons while doing so.

They help with skin health by helping to repair it. They stop infection and unwanted cell growth that contributes to cancers. They are the best possible source of elevated biotics that help the body produce its own B12. Harvesting microgreens at such an early stage in life makes them loaded with phytochemicals that supercharge the body.

Each type of sprout offers slightly different support like your different friends offer support in various ways:

  1. Broccoli sprouts have a strong flavor and strengthen the digestive system by raising hydrochloric acid. They are like the friend that is a little edgy and you can only handle them in small doses.
  2. Radish sprouts can purge the liver which is fiery in its own right. This is like the friend that is ready to fight people when you might have some problems.
  3. The red clover sprouts are gentle and cleanse the lymphatic system and blood to help purify the body. These are like the gentle and laid back friend who always offers a lending ear and comfort.
  4. Fenugreek sprouts help support our emotions and endocrine system which all help the heart, soul, and brain. They also balance the adrenals’ cortisol (stress hormone) production and regulate thyroid hormones. They are like the friend who is very emotional and cries happy and sad tears.
  5. Lentil sprouts have a high protein base that can help support the body. They are very dense and can assimilate this protein with ease. They also have a carbohydrate base to help give you energy. They are like the friend that shows up with the muscle of a pick up truck to help you move out of your house.

You can discover more qualities of other sprouts as you get to know them and eat them!

Emotional Support

Sprouts and microgreens are tiny messengers of hope that help plant seeds and new opportunities in our lives especially when we are feeling a sense of loss or grief for where we are in our lives.

Spiritual Support

Microgreens and sprouts are adaptable. They can thrive with just a little water and some humidity on the countertop of your kitchen. “If sprouts and microgreens had faces, you’d see a smile on each one.” This cheerfulness transfers to us when we eat them. Sprouts teach us that if we have what is necessary to survive and a little bit of a routine, then we can also find a way to thrive!

Alfalfa Sprouts from the MM Blog

They are packed with many vitamins and minerals. They contain chlorophyll that helps heal the blood. They also contain all 8 essential amino acids that help increase bone strength and density that prevents osteoporosis and fractures.

They have a lot of antioxidants that support all types of diseases. They have saponins which are anti-inflammatory and immune boosting. They lower cholesterol and help fight cancer. They strengthen the brain which can help with memory, focus and concentration.

They have natural fluorine that helps rebuild decayed teeth.

You can grow them at home or find them in most food stores! I can usually find them in Giant.

Sunflower Sprouts from the MM Blog

Sunflower greens/sprouts are a complete protein. The protein helps build the skeletal, muscular, and neurological systems in the body. They also have an amazing balance of essential amino acids.

They have many vitamins and minerals including E, D and Zinc. Their chlorophyll nourishes the blood, repairs cells and tissues, activates cells in the immune system, and removes toxins from the body.

They also contain lecithins which greatly improve memory and brain function. They keep the liver and kidneys healthy, aid in vitamin absorption, and bind fats and cholesterol to water so they can be removed more easily from the body. They help reduce blood pressure and inflammation which boosts the immune system.

Add the greens to salads, smoothies and wraps to reap these amazing benefits!

Morning Routine Announcement!

I’m excited to announce my Morning Routine Series which I’ll be posting for the next 20 weeks!

I was inspired to write the poem above after listening to a TikTok about gardening. It was by a rapper named, Gardening with Goo, who was rapping about starting a garden. I was inspired to write a rap about morning cleansing and staying fat-free.

I am not a rapper!

So I changed the song into the poem you see above! Then, I decided to make this series about my morning routine as it’s been a staple in my life since following Medical Medium in August of 2020. Continue reading to see:

  • Why I’m focusing on the Morning Routine
  • What our liver does for us
  • What the Liver Rescue Morning is
  • How to enhance it
    • Bioactive Water
    • Cofactor Water
    • Protein and Caffeine
    • Blood and Glucose
  • What topics I’ll be covering in the next 20+ weeks

Why I am focusing on Morning Routine?

While my cravings have gone down a lot following Medical Medium protocols, I haven’t eliminated all the “no-foods” list. The foods on this list prevent optimal health because these foods feed pathogens or they don’t support a healthy immune system.

I STRUGGLE with following all of his information every day throughout the entire day! The morning routine was one of those things that just clicked. Even if I have 3 donuts that day, I know I did my body good by following my morning routine (or at least parts of it when traveling!)

Despite my challenges following MM protocols the morning routine to help the liver cleanse has been a solid foundation since starting my journey!

I am far from perfect with following all the Medical Medium protocols. I especially have a hard time staying away from dairy which I LOVE! I am also a sweet eater and love cakes and cookies and donuts so these are my weaknesses.

Additionally, I’m not super chronically ill where I’m on mattress island. People who tend to follow his protocols fully all at once are chronically ill and cannot go through their daily routines as a result.

That is not me. I had some aches and pains and I am having issues with fertility and acne, but dairy, gluten, and eggs don’t really bother me too much after I eat them. However, following the MM lifestyle, I have noticed if I have too many of these things, I will have negative reactions.

Every time I eat a lot of dairy, my acne flares up. Gluten makes me itchy. Eggs make me feel lethargic.

I never ate eggs too much before, but I had them during the summer for breakfast with my father for the first time in about 2 years and they made me feel pretty terrible overall when eaten by themselves. I’ll still have cakes and cookies and they won’t bother me too much.

As a side note, MM says that it’s not me that craves dairy. It’s the Strep and other pathogens that basically hijack our systems to make us think we are craving things when really they crave them.

Again, the morning routine has been a staple in my life despite the challenges of giving up the No Foods list.

What Our Liver Does for Us

It prepares ahead of time and cleans up after you make mistakes. “It’s a storehouse, a filter, a processing center, a garbage service, and more. It shields you, it protects you and it defends you from every angle.” P5 Liver Rescue by Anthony William.

In Part 1 of here are 7 chapters dedicated to what the liver does in “Liver Rescue” by Anthony William the Medical Medium. This is all in Part 1: Your Liver’s True Calling: Miracle Peacekeeper.

  • Chapter 1: What your Liver Does for You

  • Chapter 2: You adaptogenic Liver: Processing Fat and Protecting the Pancreas

  • Chapter 3: Your Life-Giving Liver: Glucose and Glycogen Storage

  • Chapter 4: Your Medicinal Liver: Vitamin and Mineral Storage

  • Chapter 5: Your Protective Liver: Disarming and Detaining Harmful Materials

  • Chapter 6: Your Purifying Liver: Screening and Filtering Blood

  • Chapter 7: Your Heroic Liver: The Liver’s Immune System

In chapter 6, MM mentions that the liver has these little Elves (nodules) that help sweep all the toxins and sort the good stuff from the bad stuff. These elves are CONSTANTLY working. If they are overburdened then they can’t clean all the bad stuff up as efficiently. As a result toxins and pathogens may get past the liver and create dirty blood.

The liver is also very intelligent and anticipates when we will eat that fat. It will start producing bile so it can break down the fat in the body. If we eat fat in the morning it has to stop doing all the other functions mentioned above and focuses on bile production.

Finally, I know many people struggle with weight gain. MM dedicates an entire 6 pages in Liver Rescue on Weight Gain and why it happens. The Liver Rescue Moring can help with this, but you need to stay low fat for most if not all of the day to see the scale move!

I’ve had the most success staying fat-free on a cleanse with losing weight. However, I’m still working on this aspect of the information as I have gained back a lot of my weight this summer!

What is the Morning Routine?

The morning routine is the Liver Rescue Morning outlined in AW’s books Liver Rescue and Cleanse to Heal. On pages 334-338 AW outlines what the Liver Rescue Morning is and why it’s so important. Here is a brief summary. I encourage you to read the book to find out even more and read the living words present in the book directly from Spirit of Compassion!

We do the morning routine to give our liver a chance to detox the body for even more hours after we wake up. There are just two simple steps.

  • We need to hydrate to help the liver flush out the toxins and other things.

  • We need to avoid radical fats so the liver can continue detoxing.

Detox

The liver goes to sleep at the same time we do. It wakes up early in the morning around 3-4 AM so it can start cleaning and sorting all the toxins we picked up through the previous day (or even previous years).

Your liver knows you won’t be drinking espresso or other fatty meals in these early hours while you are asleep. It takes this chance to start cleaning and doing its other cleansing functions.

When you wake up the blood is dirty with all the toxins and other things ready to leave your system that the liver discarded.

Hydration

It is best that you start your morning with a hydrating drink like lemon water to flush out these toxins through the kidneys and urinary tract. MM mentioned in a live one day that the only way our body releases toxins and pathogens is through the digestive system. We don’t release toxins through the skin.

If you don’t start the day with lemon water, lime water, celery juice, or cucumber juice to hydrate, then the liver has to absorb all these toxins again rather than letting the body flush them out.

Here are some examples of ways to hydrate in the morning:

  1. Lemon water = 1 lemon to 32 oz. OR ½ lemon to 16 oz water.

  2. Lime water = 2 limes to 32oz. water OR 1 lime to 16 oz of water.

  3. Celery juice = Juicing celery in a juicer. Don’t add any water or anything to it. About 1.25 -1.5 bunches makes me 32oz using the Omega Juicer.

  4. Cucumber juice = juice the cucumber in a juicer. I need two English Cucumbers and 6 apples to make 32oz of cucumber apple juice.

  5. Smoothies with no radical fats or nut butters.

  6. Plain Fruit

Stay Away From Radical Fats

The minute you eat radical fats, your liver stops detoxing and starts producing bile to process the fat. That means it stops it’s other 2,0000 functions of cleaning and detoxing to focus on processing the fat. Stay away from the fats to increase the detox window!

Radical fats include but aren’t limited to nuts, nut butters, seeds, oil, avocado, coconut, eggs, bacon, milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, whey protein powder, turkey, chicken, sausage, ham, and more. MM also has mentioned in a live that most protein sources = radical fat. All of the examples of radical fats mentioned above are protein except coconut and avocado!

Spirulina, an algae, is a protein but it is a much less fatty option and it is not considered a radical fat.

You can also find fat in a lot of fruits and veggies so don’t worry about consuming too little fat if you try to go fat-free. The fat in fruits and veggies is not a radical fat so you can eat most fruits and veggies in the morning. Just stay away from coconut and avocado.

Coconut water is fine as it doesn’t have radical fats. The meat of the coconut, coconut milk, and coconut cream are the fatty parts.

The Standard American Diet consists of having fat with every meal. When the liver is constantly producing bile for each meal, the good stuff that we eat in the meal like the fruits and veggies in a chicken salad, for example, don’t get absorbed as well because the liver is focusing more on producing that bile rather than sorting the nutrients for use.

Give your liver a break in the morning and stay fat-free! So your liver can find the key and be set free of being fatty and sluggish!

How to enhance the Effects of a Liver Rescue Morning

In this section, you will find out more about the types of water we can hydrate with and what the deal is with protein and all about blood sugar. MM mentions that there are two types of water contained in fruits and vegetables. These two types of water can help supercharge your morning routine!

Hydrobioactive Water

Hydrobioactive water, “holds life-giving nutrients to support your physical health and hydrate your cells much better than any drink of plain water can.” p336 Liver Rescue.

In “Life Changing Foods” MM tells us that hydrobioactive water is living water. It replenishes the body and feeds the bloodstream. P31.

You can find this bioactivate this kind of water by squeezing lemon or lime into the water. You can also put cucumbers and aloe gel into the water to activate it as well. Finally, coconut water, smoothies, and fresh vegetable or fruit juices are all incredibly hydrating and help the liver remove toxins from the blood and body.

Cofactor Water

Cofactor water “Has nutrients that specifically feed you on a soul level”. P 336 Liver Rescue. This water gives you an emotional advantage.

In “Life Changing Foods” MM states that cofactor water has trace minerals, mineral salts, enzymes, and phytochemicals that specifically feed us spiritually and emotionally. This helps keep our souls alive! P31.

Our livers are emotional.

MM states in Liver Rescue that if you get a liver from someone in a transplant, then that person sometimes adopts the demeanor of the person whose liver was given. They know this because they knew the person that donated the liver.

Our livers are emotional and giving them an emotional advantage by giving them nutrients that help feed our mind, body and soul is a good morning to me!

More Information on these Waters

Taken from p 31 in Life-Changing Foods:

You will find both hydrobioactive water and cofactor water in fresh fruits and vegetables. They are divided by cell walls in the fruits and veggies but when you eat them they combine. Our bodies can differentiate and use each part where it is needed.

MM states that science doesn’t know about cofactor water because we currently study it by pulling all the parts apart. When we open the fruit and vegetables those cell walls break like when we eat them and science cannot differentiated between the types of water.

When we start studying water in the system of the whole plant like we study blood and lymph in the body, then we can start to see how they are “separate yet aligned.”

Worried About Protein?

Some people may think they need protein to feel full longer in the mornings. (I used to be one of them!) MM says this full feeling is deceptive. The full feeling doesn’t accurately reflect what we need.

What we need is glucose which is sugar. Glucose is what runs pretty much our entire body. Here is a quote from the Medical Medium’s “Fruit Fear” article on his blog:

“That’s right, your brain runs on sugar, which is glucose, and not fat. Every single movement you take, task you do, thought you think, and word you speak requires glucose. Your brain heats up when you think and requires sugar to keep it cool. This explains the instinctual cravings for sugar that we experience during highly emotional and stressful situations in life. Like antifreeze acts as a coolant for an overheated car, the glucose we get from eating fruit helps to calm and cool our brain.” MM Blog Article LINK

Fruits and vegetables do have protein and amino acids. The most bioavailable protein that our bodies can use is available in leafy greens.

Most high protein sources like eggs, turkey, bacon, coconut, whey protein, etc. are also high in fat. Their main calorie source is fat.

Remember, fat stops the liver’s detox processing.

Caffeine

Stay away from caffeine because caffeine makes your adrenals produce adrenaline and this adrenaline is corrosive. While it may feel like you get an energy boost in the moment, you will have a low after that energy boost because our livers need to process that adrenaline.

Blood Sugar and Glucose

Going back to the idea of our body needing sugar and glucose to run we can understand why it is so important to eat every two hours.

Blood sugar can drop anywhere between 45minutes to a couple of hours after a meal depending on what people are dealing with neurologically and other sensitivities. If someone is more sensitive because they have had a viral load or symptoms, then their blood sugar drops quicker because it is used up quickly.

When the blood sugar drops, then the liver uses reserve glucose (sugar) to make things work inside the body. Most people have low glucose stores in the liver so then the adrenaline kicks in. This corrosive adrenaline not only wears out your adrenals but it also affects our liver and nervous systems as well in a negative way.

Fat also blocks glucose from being absorbed and stored properly. Therefore, if you have that bacon egg and cheese bagel maybe with some leafy greens and tomato in the mix; it has a really hard time getting absorbed properly from all the other fats in that meal blocking proper absorption.

MM mentions that he knew people that would eat a protein-rich diet in the morning but still feel very hungry as well. That means they may not be getting enough glucose. This could happen from not eating enough glucose or from eating high-fat meals all day that block glucose absorption.

If a fruit-filled morning leaves you not feeling full; then you may have to work on building up your glucose stores if they were depleted. Have patience and you will see that improve.

Many people including me feel more satisfied with a Liver Rescue Morning than ever before! I know I do!

What I Will be Covering in the next 20 + Weeks

Week 1: Summer Struggle Bus

In this post, you will find out about how I’ve been struggling through the summer to stay strong with MM protocols and routines! I go into detail on some of the cleanses I’ve done as well as why I’ve been resistant to jump in fully with both feet.

I made a journal article about my feelings at this time. I also didn’t post on my blog or YouTube during this time as a result, and I had no routine in the summer.

Despite all of this I still stayed strong with a morning/afternoon routine for the most part. Traveling in the summer was a little different this year compared to last year as well.

Week 2: Reasons to Start Your Day With Lemon Water

This week I will cover what lemon water does for us and my experience with it.

Week 3: Reasons to Start Your Day With Celery Juice

I will discuss why we need to start the day with celery juice on an empty stomach. How can you work your way up to 32 ounces a day? Traveling with celery juice options and my experience here from last year compared to this year down the shore.

Week 4: Breakfast Options Overview:

I will overview various smoothie options, potato options as well as plain fruit options. Here I will discuss the HMDS and why sometimes I don’t choose this option in the morning.

MY CELERY JUICE ROUTINE

I’m not going to lie, celery juice is not the most appetizing thing I’ve ever had.

However, the benefits of it FAR outweigh the not-so-amazing taste. I MISS IT when I don’t have my celery juice for a couple of days because it makes me feel so good!

I have been drinking 32oz. Of celery juice most days since August 2020. Keep reading more to find out how I prep and make my celery juice each day!

You will find information about buying, prepping, and making celery juice. I also provide tips on consumption as well as information about the taste. Celery juice has been an integral part of my healing journey.

BUYING CELERY

Organic Vs. Conventional

Anthony William (AW), the Medical Medium (MM) recommends you buy organic when you can. Organic foods are not sprayed with pesticides as part of their cultivation process.

The usda.gov site states that organic foods are grown and processed under federal guidelines to regulate many factors of organic food. Organic producers need to rely on natural substances without the use of synthetic chemicals (fertilizers and pesticides) to help in the growing and harvesting process. Certified organic produce should have been grown in soil that has had no prohibited substances applied for 3 years prior to harvest.

Please visit this site to find out more about the USDA organic foods explanation.

However, MM states that organic foods still need to be prepped and washed in similar ways to conventional foods because pesticides and chemicals can travel in the air. The organic farms can get clouds of pesticides that may come into the air from adjacent farms.

There is also the issue of finding organic celery. Celery juice is very popular. Many people do not consume it correctly, but it has been a trend on social media because famous people who started posting about it didn’t explain it was from a Medical Medium. This causes the chronically ill to be confused about these tools and how to use them properly.

Conventional Celery

Cost

Organic celery was 3x more than conventional celery.

Bunch of celery compared to celery hearts.

2 cut celery hearts that only yielded 16 ounces cost me $3. One regular-sized conventional celery heart that yielded about 24 oz of celery juice cost about $1.19. Prices have gone up with the pandemic as well so organic is just out of my range when I have 32 oz. a day.

I was only drinking 16 oz. of celery when buying organic.

Additionally, buying celery juice from a juice bar costs me $7 for only 16 oz. This is not feasible with my budget. They also didn’t wash the celery before juicing and they used a really fast centrifugal juicer. They also didn’t strain it at the end either.

Therefore, I stick with conventional celery that I juice on my own and soak it in a bin with plant-based soap to clean it well before consuming it. (More on this next.)

I buy about 12-14 bunches a week.

CLEANING CELERY

I prepare my celery to use for my juice for about 4-5 days at a time. It varies depending on how big the celery is. I usually get a solid 4 days out of the steps I follow below.

These are steps with pictures:

1. Clear out the dishes from the sink.

2. Fill up a 2-gallon bin in the sink with lukewarm water.

3. Put a squirt of 7th generation soap in the bin.

4. Take 6-7 celery hearts and remove the plastic.

5. Cut the tops off about ½ of an inch as well as the bottom.

6. Move the celery around a bit to break up the hearts so the soapy water will get on all the celery.

7. Put the celery in the bin to soak for about 20 minutes to a couple of hours if I have to go somewhere.

Update 9-9-22; I no longer let my celery stalks sit in the wash bin. I just rinse them and run my finger down the center. Someone mentioned in the Facebook group that leaving it sitting in water isn’t good for the celery. It absorbs too much of the toxic faucet water. Hope this helps:)

8. Dump the water and celery into the sink.

9. Rinse the bin out and put it in a place to dry.

10. Clear out the drying rack if needed.

11. Rinse off the celery one stalk at a time being sure to run your finger over the center of it as this is the best way to wash the celery.

12. Place cleaned celery on a drying rack.

13. Make celery juice if needed.

14. Put the rest of the celery stalks in a drawer in the fridge.

15. Clean the juicer and let dry in the drying rack.

Medical Medium does not say this but I know from yoga and learning about chakras that you have a lot of chakras in your hands. People can also do energy work to heal and a lot of that comes through the hands to move energy. I think that this could be why this method is so effective in cleaning the celery.

MAKING CELERY JUICE

I tried juicing celery in my Nutribullet one time before I did my first 369 cleanse in August of 2020. It didn’t work at all. I would have had to add water to get it to juice, and MM says that water destroys the celery juice’s power. So this was not going to work.

Therefore, I made the decision to make an investment in my health and bought a $300 juicer. The good thing is that it has lasted me an entire 1.5 years and it is still going strong. It was worth every penny because it is easy to clean and yields a lot of juice. The pulp is almost dry which means it extracts all the juice from the fiber.

MM says it is a medical machine. I made the investment in myself and my health!

I try to make the celery fresh each morning, but sometimes I make it at night for the next day so it saves me about 10 minutes to 15 minutes in the morning. I am not a morning person so this does help me get ready faster when I prepare it at night.

MM says that celery juice is good for 24 hours after it is juiced but it does lose its potency each hour. He does not recommend drinking celery juice after 24 hours of juicing. When I juice at night it sits for about 10 hours.

On the weekends I always make it fresh in the morning. Some days during the week I will make it fresh in the morning as well.

CLEANING UP

A quick rinse of all the equipment is sufficient for most days. Once a week I will use the soap and a sponge to do a thorough cleaning. Another option is to run the equipment through the top of the dishwashing machine.

It takes me only 2-3 minutes to rinse all the equipment but it takes me about 10 minutes to clean it thoroughly with soap. It also takes me about 2-3 minutes to put it in the dishwasher, but washing it in my hand always gets more mineral deposits off. Getting into all the nooks and crannies of the main juicing part is best with hand.

Pic of before and after of juicing parts.

Refer to the video on my YouTube link below to see more detail on how easy it is to rinse!

HOW LONG DOES ALL THIS TAKE?

It takes me 9 minutes to clean 6-7 celery hearts and minutes to run it through the juicer. It takes another 10 minutes to use soap and clean the juicer well. It only takes 2 minutes to rinse on a quick wash.

TIPS ON CONSUMING CELERY JUICE

If you have never had celery juice in the past then I highly recommend you start slow.

Start with about 4-8oz at first and sip it slowly through the morning. When you guzzle the juice down then you may have an intense reaction like having to use the bathroom very quickly in an emergency situation.

If you ever had diarrhea in your life; you will have diarrhea drinking celery juice. The celery juice does not cause diarrhea but it is a powerful medicine that moves all the gunk in your digestive tract which causes diarrhea.

The gunk is from the rancid, undigested proteins and fat that stick to the intestinal lining. It is also this putrefied and rancid material that strep (a bacteria) likes to feed on. MM said in a recent Tik Tok video that if you ever feel cramping and discomfort in your lower right abdomen, it is from things you are trying to digest from getting stuck in the ilium and the opening into the ilium.

Celery juice helps with digestion and killing off pathogens in the body and so much more! MM has an entire book dedicated just to Celery Juice!

TASTE

I don’t think it is unpleasant, but sometimes it can be bitter so that is when it is not as pleasant.

Celery can be bitter when the celery is smaller and greener. Also, if you juice more of the leaves the juice will be a bit more bitter. I will still drink it if it is bitter because I know how healing it is.

Celery juice tastes like celery! I can taste the sodium cluster salts that give it a bit of a salty taste, but the salt is not unpleasant like too much salt on your food. The salt is in a very hydrating liquid so it isn’t like having table salt at all.

I prefer to get the bigger light green stalks that tend to be a bit juicier. They are the most pleasant tasting. Sometimes you can’t tell what kind of stalk you will get from the outside of the celery heart.

Yep, I’m beautiful! Seriously, look at this picture! Celery Juice makes you GLOW!! Selfie in St. Thomas. I was glowing from all the things I’ve healed using MM info.

HOW I WAS FEELING

I was feeling REALLY beautiful, confident, and excited about life on this trip at the beginning of March 2022.

We came to the island for my sister’s wedding which of course is a joyous occasion. The joy of the occasion as well as my overall happiness and feeling less angry (more on this later) allowed me to have this confidence.

Of course, being on a beautiful island with gorgeous weather as well as being in the sun does help with your mood. This vacation made me excited for life again because it allowed me to get out of the mundane day to day of teaching after Winter Break.

This school year has been extraordinarily challenging in different ways because my school is still doing a hybrid model of teaching which is like teaching in the COVID year.

Additionally, the challenges of behaviors of students who haven’t been in school socializing for 2 years have been a lot.

This trip was a MUCH needed reset and has given me reminders of the joy of life I needed to keep going and feel refreshed. I need to make a March trip a yearly thing!

A BIG GOAL WAS REACHED

This dress that I was wearing was bought when I was 225 pounds. I told myself I’d wear it when I felt better, and this was the first time I wore it out! I finally got under 200 pounds right before the trip. I haven’t seen the low 190-pound range since my wedding.

I was around 210 pounds before my wedding in 2016 and it took me about 6 months of strict meal replacement shakes and working out every day for 20 min to lose weight.

I was tired of this regimen and didn’t feel great, but I looked a lot better so that was nice!=

Working out generally doesn’t make me feel better long term. I feel stronger when I work out and feel like I can do more.

With medical medium liver cleanses and a little intermittent fasting, I’ve lost 35 pounds in 2 years. Most of that came off with liver cleanses. I lost about 10 pounds doing intermittent fasting for about 6 months.

When I do a 9 day cleanse I lose at least 5 pounds. I tend to gain it back if I follow the no foods list strictly or if I eat a lot of fat. (More on in an upcoming post)

Before this St. Thomas trip, I weighed in the low 190s! I went dress shopping before the trip and bought many more dresses because I just felt good in them! I also brought this black dress with me because I felt comfortable enough to wear it in public and felt like my stomach was flat enough to look good in it!

My goal weight is 160 pounds. I know I can get there THIS Year in 2022! My goal is to try and get there before this summer so I can wear a bikini again, comfortably.

The Black Dress!

I WASN’T ALWAYS FEELING THIS WAY

My skin not looking too good in 2-22-21.

I have come a long way to feel like this because I did not have the highest self-esteem even just 1 year ago.

In fact, my skin got a lot worse before it got better!

I was also not feeling well with acid reflux waking me up at night and migraines that shot through my eye that would hurt so bad.

I was also cranky and angry all of the time. Being a school teacher I would have many interactions with various people. Looking back I realized I would come to anger quickly.

It was only in hindsight that I knew this. Being in the moment I always thought other people were the problem. It turns out the saying, “Be the change you wish to see in the world” is sooooooo true!

Even now I’m still working on my self-esteem. Re-reading this caption makes me a little uncomfortable, but it was truly how I was feeling on the trip and in the moment.

Before finding MM info I have tried all the things to lose weight and get rid of my acne which I’ve had since 5th grade. I was able to lose the weight if I tried really hard, but I always felt like I was starving myself each time. It was always difficult for me to lose weight and at best it was only 1 pound a week if I was very strict.

Following Medical Medium I am NEVER hungry and lose about 5x as much weight in the same amount of time. (More on this in another blog post!)

We are ALL beautiful and sometimes it takes just cleaning things up and having a different mindset to realize it!

HOW DID I GET HERE?

I have been doing Medical Medium protocols for about 1.5 years now. These pictures in St. Thomas were taken after I’ve completed the 7th liver cleanse. I will be writing about these cleanses on this blog as well so look out for that!

The first cleanse I ever did was at the end of August 2020. I noticed my eyes were so clear and bright and my skin had this glow about it in the later part of the cleanse!

I knew I had found a gold mine!

Cleaning up your liver makes you happier in general.

The first cleanse was so challenging that it was almost 9 months before I attempted another cleanse! I also had Covid in January 2021 and lost my sense of taste.

That made me not want to try the MM recipes. It was a lot of work to put these things together for me so I wanted to be able to taste what I was making to figure out if I liked it or not!  Taste is important to me being a Taurus who loves food! I also have taste as my strongest sense in Human Design. (More on this in another blog post!)

From May 2021 – to March 2022 I completed 7 rounds of the 369 liver cleanse. They were mostly original cleanses, but I did do one round of the advanced cleanse!

I also have done the Heavy Metal Detox cleanse and Liver Morning cleanses most days these past 1.5 years. The only thing that may deter me is a family event, eating out with my husband or a trip.

I stay away from the No foods list the best I can. I am not perfect with this!

And I tell anyone who will listen to me about the success I’ve experienced following this information.

I’m not going to lie! Following MM info is NOT easy. Especially if you are the only one in your family eating that way. Especially if you never really cooked regularly before! (Which was me…)

But it is worth it!

LIVER RESCUE QUOTES

“Liver Rescue” by Anthony William.

Medical Medium has written several books. One of them is called “Liver Rescue; Answers to eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, strep, acne, gout, bloating, gallstones, adrenal stress, fatigue, fatty liver, weight issues, SIBO & autoimmune disease.” By Anthony William.

The title says it all! Here are some AMAZING quotes from chapter 1, “What Your Liver Does for You”.

  • Excerpt from page 5 – Truth is, your liver is the best friend you’ve ever had. It performs over 2,000 critical functions that are undiscovered by medical research and science. It works hard for you night and day. It prepares ahead when it knows you need extra support, and it’s there to clean up the mess after your earthy mistakes. It’s a storehouse, a filter, a processing center, a garbage service, and more. It shields you, it protects you, and it defends you from every angle. It’s been looking out for you all along – dying out fires, defusing bongs, taking bullets for you, rounding up all the bad guys inside of you, and preventing internal disasters. Your liver is the reason, after everything you’ve been through in life, that you’re still alive.
  • Page 6 – Liver rescue is about your heart, brain, immune system, skin, and gut. It’s about sleeping well, balancing blood sugar, lowering blood pressure, losing weight, and looking and feeling younger. It’s about being clearer-headed, more peaceful, happier. It’s about being able to adapt to our fast-changing times. Saying yes to liver support is the most efficient action on your to-do list. A healthy liver is the ultimate de-stressor, the ultimate anti-aging ally, the ultimate safeguard against a threatening world. It’s key to mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Turning your attention to your liver is not the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back, it’s the helping hand that lightened the camel’s load and saved its life.
  • Page 7 – It’s not an overstatement to say that if every person walking around this planet right now had a healthy liver, the world would be a different place. Illness wouldn’t have the hold it does on the population. Anger, rage, greed, and violence wouldn’t fill the news. Fear wouldn’t define the modern age. That’s how tied into our being liver health is.

The last quote really stayed with me as it talks about how if everyone just cleaned up their livers, we would live in a better world where joy and happiness is everywhere! MM has a final chapter in the book, “The Storm Will Pass”.

Here he talks about how peace and compassion are integral parts to healing.

He also mentions how the words in his book are LIVING WORDS and living words hold LIGHT!! Reading his books I can attest to this because they resonate so much with my inner knowing that I have found this gold mine of information!

Final quote from page 441. “All storms pass. From that wisdom, you can see you are not the source of your suffering. It’s life’s weather, and you get to protect yourself from it.”

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I have only touched the surface of what is in this book!
