Hey Everyone and welcome back to another post of Buzzy Bee Esther. In this post, I’m going to talk about my endometriosis story.

I started this post first because I forgot about my tumor stuff! I was so focused on fertility. As I looked back on my journey,  I’m realizing I was more chronically ill than I believed! 

In this post, you will find information about what inspired me to start this telling my story series with an Endo post I found on Instagram. 

Then, I’m going to get into my story by dividing it into eras of my life thus far. I’m going to keep the information centered around women’s health and menstruation so if you don’t want to listen or hear details please skip! 

Next week, I’ll get into why more of Endo. This week I’m focusing on my story and experience.

Why I Wanted to Start With Endometriosis Originally

This post brings tears to my eyes because of some reactions to this! So many people have struggled with this disease and it is so sad. I also felt like I wasn’t so alone because I’m the only person I know in my immediate friend group that has this disease. At the same time, it amazes me how many people are dealing with this relatively unknown disease! 

One person commented on this beautiful post that there was a troll saying that you can heal from Endo if you detox! I wonder if I was that troll because that does sound like something I would say, but I’m just trying to help! 

I have Endo and detoxing has helped with the pain more tremendously than any aspirin, pill, or hormone therapy has which was prescribed by the doctor! Birth control worked for a long time, but as soon as I wanted to get pregnant, obviously, I went off it and the pains were UNBEARABLE! 

Anyway, I wanted to get into my story more because I want people to know that you CAN HEAL! I’m still working on healing in this area, but the pains have gone down a lot!

My Story

So I’m going to break my story down into eras of my life.

Childhood and Teenage Years

I have been dealing with problems since birth like I said in my previous post about being born with benign tumors.  I think developing endometriosis was also because of the toxins and metals present in my body from birth inherited from my birth parents. 

I started birth control in 10th grade for four reasons – irregular periods, heavy periods, painful periods, and cystic acne. 

In elementary school, I had a few embarrassing moments with that time of the month because the flow was so heavy and unbearable at the time. In cheer one time I remember having to leave the game because it was coming down my leg when I wasn’t sure it was coming and it came very heavy. In school one time I remember having to go to the bathroom. I felt a lot fall out of me as I stood up and was worried it leaked even though I did have a pad on. 

Then, every other month the pain was extremely difficult to deal with. In High School, I asked to see the nurse because the pain was so unbearable. I didn’t usually go to the nurse and she could see I was in a lot of pain just by looking at me. I ended up having to walk 1.5 miles home because everyone was working and couldn’t pick me up.

I was in so much pain that I kind of hunched over and walked really slowly to get home. Halfway through my walk, I started to feel better. When I got home the pain was actually pretty much gone! The nurse also gave me medicine so it could have been a combo of the movement and Advil. Movement and heat do help if you can get through the pain.

Bringing his information to my doctors resulted in them prescribing birth control even though I wasn’t sexually active. They said it regulated hormones and would make me feel better. 

They didn’t ask me to track my period to see if it might be regular, they just gave me the pill without much guidance after that. I think I like a more holistic approach and none of my doctors provide that other than a couple of questions like, “Do you eat a balanced diet?”  

They also prescribed it to me because I was getting cystic acne in my teenage years and that was part of the answer along with a lot of antibiotics and creams. I’ll get into more details about acne in another post!

It turns out my irregular periods were actually regular. My cycle was and is anywhere between 18-35 days long. Apparently, that is normal. I could never predict my periods though because of the change in the days at times and it wasn’t every four weeks like most people I knew. Now I use an ovulation and period app to help with predicting this and it usually helps a lot.

From 2002 to 2019 I was on birth control each month religiously. 17 years!

Young Adulthood

I was complaining for years of pain in my right side halfway through my cycle which is ovulation if you don’t know. I didn’t know this at the time. Also, doing the deed hurt a lot. I thought maybe it was because I didn’t see my partner often, I had no idea that this symptom could be a result of a disease! 

Every time I brought up the pain to my gynecologist, she just dismissed it as cramps and said I was young. I wish I would have asked for an ultrasound at the time because I think my cyst was developing for years before they found it in 2012!

2012 Surgery

This is not me, but this is about the size of my scar from this surgery.

In October or November of 2012, I had an annual appointment with my gynecologist. When she did the internal exam, she thought I was pregnant! She ordered a vaginal ultrasound to check what was going on. 

During the appointment, I could tell by my technician’s expression that something was wrong. She wouldn’t tell me much and said the doctor would call.

As I was walking out of the ultrasound appointment, I received a call from the doctor. She said it was a very large cyst and that she was worried that it might be cancer! I cried on the way home because it was all really scary. People die from cancer, and I was only 25! 

My gynecologist recommended a doctor in Philly because she wasn’t comfortable taking the cyst out for the chance that it might be cancer. She assured me that I was young and it probably wasn’t cancer, but just in case she wanted someone from oncology to take it out so it didn’t spread. Apparently, if they go into the fluid around the cyst and get some of that fluid in the surrounding tissue, it could make cancer spread if it is cancerous. 

There were more tests before surgery and there were some big names thrown around with diagnosis. I came in with a paper full of questions; none of which were answered because they had to do the surgery to get those answers. The Philly doctor recommended that I not research the names because I could scare myself. There were also several names that were possible because they didn’t know what it was yet. He wanted me to leave it to him and he’ll take care of it. That was reassuring and I felt like I was in capable hands.

I had major surgery on my abdomen in the beginning of December. They drained the fluid in the cyst and biopsied the tissue. It wasn’t cancerous, thank God! They could determine that the cyst was a chocolate cyst from the biopsy, AKA endometrioma. It wasn’t cancerous! An endometrioma. It is a cyst that has some solid and fluid parts in it, and it looks like chocolate because there is endometrial lining in there. 

For those of you that don’t know, your endometrial lining is a lining in your uterus that a fertilized egg attaches to. It is the true life giver of a baby because if that egg does not attach to the endometrial lining then it will be discarded with the woman’s next menstrual cycle. So even if you have a fertilized egg that is viable to have a baby it is useless without a healthy endometrial lining to support that life and its initial stages. 

Additionally, the endometrial lining is what sheds when we menstruate. So when women say they are bleeding they are not actually bleeding blood but they are bleeding their endometrial lining and shedding it to prepare the uterus for a new lining to develop and a new possible fertilized egg to attach in the next month.

Back to the story: The cyst that was removed on my right side was the size of a cantaloupe. They gave my parents and I a number for the capacity of fluid that came out, and my dad who is a math wiz, said it was the size of a cantaloupe! They ended up taking the ovary with the cyst because they couldn’t remove the cyst alone. That was all I could gather about the conversation after surgery because I was on a lot of morphine. They had me on a morphine drip.  

My parents and Chris who I just started dating were there in the hospital with me every day! I was there for a few days afterward because they did major surgery on my abdomen. Also, I think I woke up during the surgery. They say redheads metabolize anesthesia faster, and I think this is true from my experiences with surgeries. 

As a side note: the surgery experience is what made me fall in love with Chris because he was there every single day in the hospital for almost a week while I was recovering from surgery. I knew he was a good one!

The doctor told me they saw some endometrial lining on my bladder when they were doing surgery which is when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I was complaining about pain in my ovaries every time I ovulated and had my period for years! 

Part of the problem with endometriosis is that no one really knows what the hell it is. First, laparoscopic surgery or surgery like mine is the only way to diagnose endometriosis where the doctor can see the endometrial lining in other areas of the body. In one post I read they said it could get pretty far away from the reproductive system which amazed me. Women with endometriosis have it most of their life and complain of horrible pains but are just written off as standard pain with their period without much consideration.

When I asked my thousands of questions at a follow-up, all of the doctors couldn’t tell me why it happened or even what it was in the first place. I was told it was just an endometrial lining that didn’t know where to go so it went wherever It wanted. I was told my body was attacking itself and there was really nothing I could do. 

They said I wouldn’t have problems getting pregnant when I told them my plan was to have babies in a couple of years.

Those couple of years turned into 7!

Weight and 7 Years after Surgery

A couple of years turned into 7 because I didn’t feel settled in my career as a teacher. I was moving schools pretty much every 2 years because of circumstances like freezing pay, or enrollment dropped. Teaching is not easy. Moving schools and learning new systems and curricula was even harder! Additionally, I was in urban education for most of my career which is even harder!

After surgery, Chris traded in one of his sports cars in preparation for us to have a kid like right away even though we weren’t married because of my endometriosis situation. In hindsight, I kind of wished we tried then. However, I do believe things always work out for a reason and I’m glad we had time to just be without kids for our relationship so far. 

I lived my life focusing on my career and spending WAY too much time on it when I should have been focusing on finding answers! But I continued to eat not so well and ate even more takeout than I used to while living on my own and with my parents. Before I met Chris I would have takeout and fast food maybe 2-3 times a week. After meeting him this doubled. 

2012 was the beginning of our relationship, and I conformed to Chris’s way of eating quickly because I love food. He took me to all the local restaurant spots where my family never liked to eat! I induced in a lot of cheese and desserts with no restrictions because he never made me feel bad about my food choices. I loved every minute of enjoying all the bad food, but I  also gained a lot of weight eating this way. 

I continued my birth control and I was on many more medications through these years because more things started to develop. I was getting migraines, acid reflux, anxiety, and more! 2019 Off Birth Control & a Little on Fertility

So I was working in Chester at a Charter school and I decided to go off birth control after speaking with a coworker. The conversation was around feeling ready. I don’t think anyone really feels ready to have kids! I knew I wanted them. And I didn’t know what my future held, but I figured why not start now. I only did this with her encouragement. 

This was in June 2019 I decided to go off birth control. 

After going off birth control I had a lot of different pains and feelings in my body. There were spasms I never felt before. These spasms made me feel like I might be pregnant but I never was. I know from MM info what it was now, but stay tuned for the post next week to find out!

My periods were VERY painful. I had to call out of work a few times on day 1 of my cycle because I was in so much pain I couldn’t even stand! I would spend those days in a warm tub trying to get relief, but it didn’t come.

I would always take like 6-8 Advil during my period, and even with this dosage, the pains were unbearable at times. Endometriosis is no joke. 

Then came the pains with using the restroom. If I was in the midst of menstruating and had to go number 2 I felt like my entire insides were falling out. It is hard to describe the pain but it didn’t feel good at all. 

So month after month passed, I felt more terrible than I ever had before, and we weren’t getting pregnant. I decided to go to the fertility doctor in January 2020, but then we took a break when Covid hit. I found MM during Covid! 

My headaches got worse, and so did other symptoms. I will get into my fertility journey and other symptoms later in this series! Look at the first post in the My Story Series to see the sequence of postings planned.

2020 Finding Medical Medium

In July of 2020, I found the Medical Medium, Antony William. He talks about the true cause of mystery symptoms and diseases and how to heal them. 

Implementing his protocols has made my periods manageable and it also made my cycle last only 3 days as well! My first 1-2 days are still heavy flows, but nothing like what I dealt with in middle school.

I still have pain sometimes when I use the restroom, but for the most part, this has also improved. I also still have really bad cramps on the first day of my cycle, but the other days are usually more bearable. I noticed that if I drink alcohol or eat processed meats this pain ramps up. 

Cleaning up my diet and detoxing has put me in touch with what my body needs and wants. I know that certain foods trigger symptoms and why this happens after reading all the MM info. I still struggle with this at times because when detoxing, you experience detox symptoms. 

The symptoms are not directly caused by the healing foods. The healing foods provide the body with what it needs to start cleaning out the garbage which causes the pain. As the viruses and bacteria die, they ramp up one last time to try and get what they need. Also, their dead bodies are toxins that can cause pain as well. 

For example, if strep bacteria is about to die, it will send signals to eat more dairy! Strep loves dairy. It’s not you craving the diary, it’s the strep! (That’s what I keep telling myself!)

Sometimes I have intense symptoms and I back off my healing a bit by eating some fat or something else to stop the process. Do what you can and have compassion for yourself as you are on this journey! If it is very painful, take some of the protocols away so you can ease into detoxing more gently!

I am still working on healing, but I want the world to know that it is possible to heal with food, supplements, and herbs! I also still see my doctor and take Advil during my cycle. I’m hoping one day I won’t even need to take Advil! But I’m still working on it:)

Then, I will explain the true cause of tumors and cysts, how we get all these things inside of us, a note on heavy metals, and what MM says about drugs and heavy metals.

A Little Reminder of My Background

So remember I told you my biological parents had mental illness and were most likely on a pharmaceutical cocktail before having me? Well, this is why that is important. 

Heavy metals and other toxins play a part in tumors and also there is a final note on heavy metals and drug use that people should heed this warning! Don’t end up like my biological parents!

Cleanse to Heal 

True Cause

In this section, I’d like to talk about the true cause of tumors and cysts. Honestly, I don’t think I can say it better so I’m just going to quote p 548 of Cleanse to Heal:

“True cause: Non-cancerous strains of viruses in the herpes family (including Epstein-Barr virus and HHV-6) feeding on toxic heavy metals and other toxins such as pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, plastics, and other petrochemical by-products, air fresheners, scented candles, perfumes, and colognes. 

When these particular viral strains feed on these aggressive toxins, they release toxic material through elimination that is very sticky and jelly-like. The waste byproduct clings to and suffocates adjacent living cells, keeping the cells from the critical life support provided by oxygen and nutrients, which causes them to denature, weaken, and kie – all while the sticky byproduct blocks the dead cells from entering the bloodstream so the body can detoxify them. 

Eventually, scar tissue forms around the damaged and dead cells, and that’s the beginning of a benign cyst or tumor. The virus will stay alive inside of the cyst or tumor, and blood vessels will even form out of the growth to bring in more oxygen, nutrients, and other fuel to feed the virus in its core. This allows the virus to continue its cycle of producing more toxic materials, which allows the cyst or tumor to grow until the virus is addressed. 

A high-fat/high-protein diet can accelerate the growth of cysts and tumors.

Also be cautious of troublemaker foods such as eggs, as tumors and cysts feed on eggs, which allows tumors and cysts to grow.”

MM also lists many supplements that will help with this condition. With the supplements, he has an entire chapter about what to do with them. The list is overwhelming to look at in the beginning, but when you get down to it and see all the repeats with all the conditions you may be experiencing there are a few that you should do just for general health!

Those are:

  • Celery Juice; work up to 32 oz. a day and even 64 oz. a day!
  • Micro C
  • Zinc
  • Vitamin B12
  • Raw Honey
  • Lemon Balm
  • Hibiscus
  • Melatonin
  • Barley Grass Juice Powder
  • Spirulina
  • Wild Blueberries

There are probably more as I read the list I want to list them all because I think these are also integral but may not apply to some conditions:

  • Curcumin (turmeric)
  • Ashwagandha
  • Nascent iodine
  • Nettle leaf
  • Raspberry leaf
  • Vitamin D3
  • Schisandra berry
  • Alma berry
  • Burdock root
  • Chaga mushroom
  • CoQ10 (this one is a little pricy)

In the book, he also lists dosages that could help. But remember, if you are doing a cleanse you can still do supplements, you can half the supplements, or you can completely take out the supplements during a cleanse. It is your choice! The more you do, the more detox symptoms you may have so be easy on yourself and have compassion for your body and its healing process!

How We Get Troublemakers In Us

Remember I said the true cause of a benign tumor or cysts is a virus from the herpes family that feeds on toxins and heavy metals. Their waste kills cells and scar tissue forms creating a cyst.

So you might be thinking that you probably don’t have toxins and viruses in you because your body cleans it out right? That’s what I thought too, but MM explains in his chapter, “A Wake-Up Call to What’s Inside Us”, that we do in fact have many troublemakers in us and we are literally bombarded with them in our everyday life! 

The troublemakers include toxins, poisons, and pathogens. They are called troublemakers because they make trouble for our bodies and therefore our lives. The evidence that they exist? Symptoms and conditions. It is not normal to have aches and pains and ailments constantly. Modern society has made it normal, but it is not and we can heal! 

In these 20+ pages, MM explains what the troublemakers are, how they get in us, and why they are causing problems in detail! I’m going to highlight some things below. I encourage you to read his books to get all the information because it is a lot. If you don’t like to read, get the audiobooks!

In general, these chemicals and toxins are everywhere. They are in the food we eat with sprays of conventional produce and chemicals given to animals we eat. They are in the air with all the pollution. They are on our clothes and in our homes with perfumes and scented products. We clean with them, we inhale them, we use them for beauty products! 

We contract viruses by touching an infected door handle in a public place. We can get them through our food that is undercooked or old food that has gone bad. We can get them from the toilet having something in it and splashing us.

We can also contract airborne viruses and bacteria by Inhaling vaporized particles in the air that might have a pathogen in them. The Pandemic at least taught a lot of people how these tiny microorganisms are spread in this way just like the common cold. Although it shouldn’t be common! Again, modern-day life has made it normal to be sick.

This is not normal. If we strengthen our immune system we will not get so sick all the time! Our bodies are made to fight off invaders, but we can’t do that if our systems are maxed out because we are eating junk.

Here is more information on just a couple of the antagonizers I mentioned above. For the full list, please refer to this chapter in the MM Cleanse to Heal book.

Mercury 

Mercury’s presence in the body can create many neurological symptoms including bipolar, schizophrenia, ADHD, and autism to name a few. When Epstein Barr virus is present with mercury deposits, then the chemical byproduct neurotoxin which is a poison made from a poison! This can exacerbate existing problems or cause them!

Mercury gets in us by: 

  • Our water is unfiltered especially when eating at a restaurant
  • Mercury fillings at the dentist or removal of those fillings
  • Broken bulbs that used mercury and we could have inhaled bits of it when it was broken
  • The automobile industry uses mercury in the manufacturing
  • Batteries that could reside on the outside when we touch it
  • Vaporized mercury can rain down on us from jet fuel
  • Inheritance. We can’t get rid of it unless we do certain cleanses like the Heavy Metal Detox Cleanse outlined in my Heavy Metal Detox Series.

Scented items 

Scented items include perfume, cologne, air fresheners, scented candles, aftershave, and laundry detergent. These things are chemical poisons that wreak havoc on the body and immune system. 

We get them in us just walking in a crowd and sniffing someone’s perfume or cologne or anything mentioned above! MM says we would be better off smoking than sniffing an air-fresher plug-in all day! That is how bad they are for us.

Fungicides

Fungicides are applied to many things such as clothing, money, cardboard boxes, water bottles, furniture, and more. They are applied to prevent mold from forming. However, they do the opposite and end up creating fungicide-resistant mold which is way more terrible than regular mold! 

MM says that fungicides are some of the worst things we are exposed to because they contain a lot of copper which is the primary toxic heavy metal responsible for eczema and psoriasis. He also mentions that we can smell these poisons and chemicals because they have a perfume smell. When we start cleansing and cleaning things up we will notice this more. I know I have!

What Medical Medium Says About Psychedelic Drugs and Heavy Metals

Medical Medium warns people who are chronically ill and might have heavy metals in the brain and an overburdened liver need to stay away from psychedelics and ayahuasca. If you have never heard of ayahuasca, it is a plant medicine in Costa Rica that people use to have spiritual awakenings. 

The problem with these medicines and drugs is that if someone is already dealing with a heavy metal problem or something else, this can be very detrimental to their well-being. 

Ayahuasca basically kills the brain which is why the experiences are so intense. If you are already dealing with a viral load and toxic problem that your liver is having a hard time controlling and you do this you could cause the poison to get more into the brain. This process of overheating and bringing toxins to the brain may make new metals in various places or move metals around causing other mental problems.

Your brain will always try to cool itself, but if there is a medicine or drug impeding its ability to do so and your reserves are already low because none of us eat enough Clean Critical Carbohydrates, then they could create alloys and settle in different parts of the brain causing more problems.

Basically, don’t do it! You may be fine doing these drugs once or twice, but your liver may not be able to handle it another time; or even the first time. MM has a story posted on his site of someone who did it three times and the third time experiencing extreme PTSD afterward. The link will be in more resources below.

I understand if you’re battling symptoms that are confusing and feel like they’re holding you back, getting in the way of expressing yourself or becoming your true self. You’re accomplishing more than you know through the process of struggling with your symptoms or illness-and there are answers about why we get sick. They do exist. You don’t have to be without the knowledge of how to heal anymore.

Be proud of using your free will to make your own choice to work on your healing.

Have compassion for yourself and know that your suffering is not your fault. Your struggles are not your fault. You’re accomplishing great things every single hour and day as you work on your healing process with the powerful tools in this book. I believe you can heal.

In this posting, I’d like to discuss my benign tumor in my wrist and 4 surgeries I had throughout my school-age career. I also want to start by telling you a bit about my background.

A Little Bit About My Background

I was adopted by my cousin! 

Yes, you read that right. I was adopted at 18 months old so I didn’t really know my biological parents at all. When I speak of my mom and dad in general I’m speaking of my adopted parents because that’s my mom and dad!

My biological father was 1 or 8 and he was on the younger side of these siblings. My biological aunt Mary was the oldest of these 8, and her son, Steve adopted me with his wife Tina. So my biological aunt has been my grandmother all my life!

I absolutely love my family and have no issues talking about these things:) I always tell people my story who want to listen and they are always amazed about this fact.

Mental Illness

My biological parents had mental illnesses that prevented them from being fit parents. They actually met in the hospital and lived on government funds most of their lives despite being very smart. 

My biological father went to Williamson Trade School and my biological mother went to Penn State Main Campus! They were both very bright, but they both got into drugs. I don’t know what kind of drugs, but most likely LSD. I was told this is what made them become mentally ill.

Most likely my mother was taking psychoactive drugs during pregnancy because my biological mother and biological father met in the hospital when getting treated for their sickness. The way mental illness is currently treated in hospitals is through a lot of drugs, therapy, and sometimes a hospital stay if there is an episode. Doctors will prescribe so many different things to try and balance out the brain hormones.

If you are dealing with mental illness, these drugs can help calm you down from an “episode”. But I think the long-term goal of these treatments should be to have people off the drugs. Many people stop taking drugs because they make them feel horrible due to side effects and other factors. Part of the problem is that mental illness is just not that well known of what the true causes are which is why treatment is not so great. 

Treatment of the mentally ill used to be a lot worse as well even just 60 years ago with all the insane asylums and things of that nature so that just goes to show you how much we know about mental illness.

My point in telling you this is that I most likely inherited heavy metals and toxins from all the drugs they were taking as well as what was already present causing the mental illness.

When I was younger I wasn’t told all of these details about my biological parents. My mother and father wanted to protect me from this information because it isn’t easy to hear! I didn’t know I was adopted until I was 8 years old. Each year my parents would tell me more about how I fell in the family tree and why my biological parents couldn’t take care of me.

I love my mommy and daddy so much for protecting me from the info when I was young. I would have definitely overthought everything and worried about developing these things. So thanks, Mom and Dad:)

This is the closest thing I remember my wrist looking like. It was much larger than this though.

The Benign Tumor

So all of that was to prepare you for my troubles at birth. When I was a baby my mother (remember my adopted mother) found a bump on my left wrist. My mother and father searched for the best wrist surgeons in the area and brought me to the very best. They did all the scans and tests and determined it was a benign tumor.

They waited until I was about 5 or 6 to do the first surgery. 

I remember waiting for hours in the waiting room because this doctor was the best of the best. His name is Dr. Osterman and I absolutely loved him. His bedside manner was very good and he always made me laugh. In fact, he showed me off to the entire office after my first surgery because I was doing handstands! 

My dad always made the time pass well when waiting for these visits as well with cards and he always made me laugh. These are fond memories with my parents, but the surgeries, not so much. 

I remember one day going into the office and Dr. Osterman said that tomorrow was going to be the day for surgery. I was so scared. I’ve never had surgery and I knew that they were going to cut into me. I didn’t know what exactly for, but I knew it was serious. 

So I went to CHOP really early one morning and they gave me some kind of medicine and I don’t remember what happened after that. Apparently, I walked into a wall! Whatever they gave me completely blacked out my memory! 

They removed a piece of the bone on the outside of the wrist where the little bump is. If they didn’t remove this tumor, I would have limited mobility in my wrist as I grew. So they had to take it out.

When I woke up I was VERY nauseous and I had all kinds of cords in me. I think I had to stay in the hospital for at least a week or two and I remember my parents with me all the time. I commend them for everything they did for that because Chris was sick a few years ago, and I hated staying in the hospital a couple of nights! 

Anyway, I threw up a lot with the meds they were giving me. I also couldn’t pass bowls so they had to give me a suppository which was VERY painful. I never had this before. I also remember walking around the hospital a couple of days into my stay and like going to this play room and feeling so sorry for the kids in there because they seemed worse off than me.

I went home after a few days and it was a couple of months before I felt better. I had several follow-up visits, and one of the follow-up visits required a cast removal. That was scary because they took a saw to the hard cast. I was so impressed he didn’t get my arm sawing that thing off. 

Then, they had to remove these two pins.

I was so scared. One came out just fine, but the other was stuck somewhere in the tissue and I screamed when they took that thing out. It hurt a lot.

I always cheered when I was younger and I was able to do handstands in the PeeWee competition team on the Keystone Cheerleading Team. When I did one of the follow-up visits with Dr. Osterman, he told all the nurses to see my handstand after his surgery!  I also lost feeling in my thumb and that was weird. 

I had one straight long scar, a zigzag scar, and two pin holes from this first surgery.

I remember people signing my cast when I had them! This isn’t my actual cast.

Broke it Twice

So a few years go by and I end up breaking my arm when I was running outside and fell on it. It was during the summertime. I was in a lot of pain on the way to the hospital and to set it, they gave me NOTHING! I SCREAMED!

That was a horrible experience.

Then I saw Dr. Osterman again and he determined I needed surgery to get plates and screws in the bone because it broke so badly. The arm breaks more easily because a piece of the bone is missing. 

For this surgery, I was awake when they gave me the anesthesia and I HATED it. I kept moving my head around because it smelled so bad. Eventually, they got me to sleep and when I woke up I was in a lot of pain and was very nauseous. 

I think I was in the hospital for a shorter stay this time. Having the cast in the summer sucked because it was so hot and I couldn’t really enjoy the pool.

A couple of years later around 9 years old I was skating one night and fell. Broke my arm again. I was skating at dusk and my parents told us to be home by dark. I was so scared they would be mad at me because I was still out! 

When they got back they were more concerned than mad. At the hospital, they set my arm after they put me to sleep this time! I remember the last time and how much it hurt so I was fighting the medicine they put in my arm so they knew I was really asleep! 

For some reason, redheads metabolize anesthesia faster so that’s a thing. I actually woke up during surgery one time, but that’s a story for another day.

So for this surgery, my long straight scar was longer and wider after it healed. It kept getting wider as I grew.

The last surgery

In high school, my left arm started getting pain. I got it checked out by Dr. Osterman, and he mentioned that we would want to do elective surgery to get the plates and screws out of the arm so we could strengthen the bone. Elective surgery meant that I could decide whether or not to have it.

I hated surgery; so I kept putting it off. 

Then, a few years later, the thumb started sticking up when I would move it in a certain way. I was also still experiencing pain every once in a while. It turns out, my bone was growing in a way that the tendons were kind of getting stuck around them.

The fix.

Another surgery.

For this one, he wanted to shave down the bone and take out the plates and screws. I was a senior in high school for this one and the tools for anesthesia advanced quite a bit at this point. They did a localized anesthetic where they just put some anesthesia with needles in the arm to numb the area. 

They gave me some kind of sedative to calm me down before rolling me into surgery. They told me they could knock me out at any time and to just say the word. I was always very anxious before surgery. I was also very nervous about feeling sick afterward. This localized thing was the answer to the nausea. 

I was still awake when they started surgery and I could hear Dr. Osterman sawing away at the bone. I couldn’t feel anything though. A part of me was thinking it would be cool if they put the curtain so I could see. I knew at that point that I wanted to be put down instead because that was a crazy idea! I hated blood and all that.

So I gave the anesthesiologist the look and he put something in my IV and I was out.

When I woke up I was feeling SO GOOD! I wasn’t nauseous and I couldn’t feel a thing in my arm at all. They gave me some crackers and told me to take some Percocets for when the numbing agent wore off. 

The crazy thing is, the numbing started wearing off before I even left the hospital. So I made sure to take the meds even though I knew they would make me feel sick. 

I was in the worst pain of my life when I got home. They didn’t keep me in the hospital this time at all. I left within a few hours. But I wish they did because I was in SO MUCH PAIN. After the medicine wore off I could FEEL EVERYTHING! 

I cried on the couch a lot that day and I remember my mom was busy with something so she wasn’t there and I couldn’t even really get up well, but my cousin who was there helped me with my pillows and stuff. I couldn’t even move and I just cried a lot. The medicine wasn’t helping.

When my mom came home she called the doctor and got me more medicine to help, and it did. 

This surgery happened right at the end of high school and I remember being on these painkillers through graduation.  I went up to kids I would have never had the guts to go up to sign my yearbook! I always remember that!

I wanted to announce that I’m starting a new series about my story! 

 

I just finished my “Morning Routine Series” on YouTube and my blog. It took me all school year and some of the summer to finish! I took a break on this while coaching cheer and step so it took me a bit longer as I wasn’t posting weekly.

 

I think the next logical step in this journey is to start telling you more about me as a testimony to how this works and an example of “the proof is in the pudding”. 

 

People don’t come to Medical Medium if they are somewhat healthy. My goal in starting this channel was to target the “not so sick” audience. You don’t have to get extremely sick and on mattress island to heal! 

 

I would also like to target the chronically ill of course because most of us are chronically ill even though we don’t know it. Society has made it normal to have aches and pains. But guess what, it’s not normal or healthy. We are having aches and pains because our bodies are fighting viruses!

 

Anyway, in this post I want to discuss how I found MM, my story summary, and what I’ll cover in the “My Story Series” for over 30 videos.

 

PS This is a very vulnerable topic for me so that is why it took me so long to start talking about it more! I’m just going to lay it all out there in the hopes that you can find similarities and want to give his protocols a try!

Finding Medical Medium

I found Medical Medium in my search looking for a fruit cleanse or a Whole Foods cleanse because I’ve heard of people doing the 28-day vegan challenge but being vegan just didn’t (and still doesn’t) sound appealing to me at all. 

Doing a cleanse for a week or two was more doable for me. Upon my search, I kept seeing the  28 or 30-day vegan Challenge but I couldn’t find any cleanses. The whole vegan thing sounded terrible to me! 

Finally, I came across a video of Anthony William Medical Medium talking about his new book “Cleanse to Heal”.

He initially started talking about how he was a medium and spoke with the Spirit Of Compassion to give his information. He stated clearly that he was not a doctor or medical professional. He then told his story about how he heard a voice in his ear clearly when he was four years old telling him his grandmother had cancer. 

Ever since then Spirit Of Compassion has been teaching him what is wrong with people and how to heal them. Of course, listening to this I was skeptical at first and I looked up his book but did not buy it on Amazon. I gave up my search after about an hour of finding nothing.

When I first found Medical Medium on YouTube, I kind of wrote him off because he said he was a medium talking about health and how his books had no citations in them. I don’t always trust people on YouTube because anyone can post on there and his setup seemed very nonprofessional at the time. 

Also, you know, “Science”. I was always a fan of science and trusted my doctors without question. They have done many great things for me in the past which I will review in the My Story Series!

Additionally, the idea of having an entire huge book about health, without citations, just didn’t seem legit to me! I had no idea who he was and that he was the man behind all these health movements we see out there as far as eating organically and things of that nature! At least I think he was behind it.

He has counseled many stars on health and of course if people have money they demand to have certain things like organic produce. 

Back to the story, later that week I went to BJ’s with my mom. I saw his book, “Cleanse to Heal” sitting on the book stand with all the other recipe books. 

I picked it up!

I cracked it open!

Then I saw all the beautiful SIMPLE recipes. 

What got me the most was the simplicity of the recipes! I would have never thought to make a smoothie with just banana, cherry, and some water! Anytime I tried to make a health thing I always had to add some obscure ingredient like hemp seeds or something I never heard of!

THIS was simple. THIS was something I could do! 

I started reading the back of the book which contained information about the true reasons why people are experiencing symptoms and conditions. And I immediately was hooked. It made a lot of sense to me, and it was something I NEVER heard of before!

I started reading the rest of the book and the different cleanse options. I just had to read the entire thing from cover to cover because it was that profound! When I re-read things in there it’s like I’m learning it all over again because there is so much information. 

His information works! 

Try it! You might just feel better!

My Story Summary

I was on the standard American diet eating cheese and meat pretty much at every meal in one form or another. My mornings usually started with a protein shake and coffee which I thought was pretty healthy. Then I would have either leftover dinner or salad or take-out for lunch. Most of the time we would have takeout for dinner especially when I was going to grad school and had no time to cook.

I was slowly gaining weight, I had more aches and pains, and I had really bad migraines with this diet. 

After finding his information I’ve lost a lot of weight, but it has gone up and down and right now I’m back up:(  I’ve cured my Gerd and I have gotten rid of my migraines that I used to get at least once a week. 

My migraine pain would shoot through one of my eyes and I would always have sinus pressure from all that. My migraines were so bad that sometimes I would just stay at home instead of going out especially when it was a rainy day because I couldn’t even lift my head. I would always push through this intense pain to go to work but going out is not a priority for me. 

I attribute my success to the way I’m feeling as well as most of my weight loss by following the Medical Medium protocols. I am not perfect with following all the advice and I am hoping to reflect this in my blog and YouTube. 

His information is vast, and I wanted to make smaller videos to explain it quickly. I also wanted to do ASMR to allow people to kind of meditate while watching fruit get cut up and stuff so they could be inspired to try these simple recipes! 

They say repetition is a good teacher so I hope you revisit my videos and his information often to learn it even better!

The Gist of MM Info

When following Medical Medium protocols he tells us to be gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and basically stop eating processed food because most of it has crap in it that is part of the troublemaker foods list. 

The trouble-maker foods feed pathogens or get in the way of the immune system doing its thing. When people are dealing with chronic illness it’s a good idea to keep out the troublemaker foods so you can heal and get rid of the viruses and bacteria that may be ailing you.

When you get rid of the pathogens, then all the pathogen byproducts and toxins they produce can also be expelled from your system.

You also have to work on detoxing from all the other toxins we are bombarded with on an everyday basis from chemicals to pollution and more. There are so many details and protocols on what kinds of viruses and bacteria could be ailing you with various symptoms and conditions. 

One thing that really stood out to me in his “Brain Saver” books is the fact that he addresses repetition in the symptoms and conditions section of the book. 

The fact of the matter is that these illnesses are simple in the way that they are caused by a handful of different types of viruses and bacteria. What makes the information so complicated is that medicine and science slapped on various names for diseases that show similar symptoms. 

What My Story Series Will Cover in over 30 videos.

My story series will go into detail about the conditions I’ve experienced through my 36 years on Earth and what MM has to say about these things. I have categorized this into three sections. General Symptoms, Infertility, and Cleanses/Chronological Events after finding MM.

 

General Symptoms

I’m going to start discussing the benign tumor found in my wrist when I was a baby. I came into this world with problems! Thank God I had such amazing parents that took me to one of the best wrist surgeons in the world! 

Then I want to get into endometriosis. I saw a post on Instagram with all these women in such pain from Endo that just brought me to tears!

My goals this summer involve getting serious with endo protocols and weight loss. My goal is to lose 60 lbs by December and to get rid of these cysts.

Supplements have been an important part of my healing journey. Continue reading to find out how I started with supplements, what I take, and how I decided to add things in as time went on in my healing journey. At the end, you will also see why I take these supplements with a little information about what each one does for our bodies and livers.

How I picked my supplements

The first book I read for the Medical Medium was “Cleanse to Heal”. In this book, he goes into depth about what supplements work well for many different conditions. I went through the condition list and made a list of the things I was experiencing. I read the true cause and saw that the supplements were repeated in many of the conditions.

I decided to look at my most prominent conditions for fertility which were endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I also made a list of supplements and foods to work with from his endometriosis podcast in the radio show archive episodes and from the Cleanse to Heal suggestions. 

After reading the supplement section on how to take supplements and what to do with supplements while doing one of the cleanses, I decided to start supplements after my first 369 cleanse.

I actually found the Medical Medium by searching up fruit cleanses on YouTube and he came up talking about his book, Cleanse to Heal.

I started with the 369 cleanse originally and it called for drinking the HMDS most days. Therefore I invested in getting the Spirulina, Atlantic Dulse, and Barley Grass Juice Powder first. 

I didn’t realize that it needed to be the JUICE powder at first and I was putting barley grass powder in my HMDS at first. The JUICE powder was so much more expensive which is why I got the other one not realizing it was the wrong one until I heard him say on a live that the details matter.

Then I started official supplementation with zinc, vitamin C, cat’s claw, and lemon balm. I wouldn’t take the entire dosage recommended because sometimes it would make me feel nauseous.

Supplements while Cleansing & Dosages 

In “Cleanse to Heal” in the “What You Need To Know About Supplements” chapter, MM mentions that you don’t have to work on supplements while you cleanse or you can if you want to as well. So basically it is up to you! He also mentions that supplements have more power when you are on a cleanse because usually cleanses entail staying fat-free. When we are fat-free, the nutrients absorb better.

He also suggests ½ the doses listed if you are on a cleanse as well. So basically it’s up to you! Supplements are a great support to the cleanses, but are not necessary to cleanse when on an MM cleanse.

I don’t take the full dose recommendations from Cleanse to Heal because the supplements can be pretty pricey.  I am constantly doing the morning liver rescue cleanse which helps the body cleanse as well as the supplements. 

I usually half the amount or take 1-2 of each thing. The supplements last me quite a bit doing things this way.

In the section about what cleanse to do and how to take supplements, it says to try supplements listed for one thing at a time and you’ll notice other things healing as you focus on that one thing. This definitely happened to me as I was trying to heal my reproductive issues, my migraines and acid reflux went away! I wasn’t even working on that!

A Note on Vimergy Brand

I highly recommend the Vimergy Brand when looking for supplements. I noticed improvements more quickly when switching over to this brand. 

I didn’t have any Vimergy supplements at first because MM didn’t start endorsing them until I was a few months into trying these things out. I did look at his supplement list suggestions on his website because he has found the cleanest ones that are alcohol-free. Pure is another company I see on this list a lot.

Switching to Vimergy from the other brands I was using I saw a noticeable difference! The Vimergy lemon balm was much more potent so I didn’t need as many dropperfuls as was suggested in the cleans to heal supplements suggestions. 

The GoldenSeal was also visibly changing the quality of my skin as well. My breakouts would calm down immediately when I made the switch.

Medical Medium also endorses Vimergy as well because he says they are working for the light. They use the most pure ingredients and they do extensive tests to make sure they are pure. They use quality ingredients with high potencies which makes them more effective. 

They also are making these supplements very affordable and not adding any nasty things to them such as alcohol or other fillers. Vimergy does not add any of that stuff; it is pure.

How I added gradually 

The zinc and lemon balm would make me feel sick because it wasn’t the Vimergy brand and I think I was trying to do too many things at once to heal. If you add too many healing protocols at once, you could feel the detoxing effect very intensely. It is OK to go slow!

Nausea can also happen because it is a reaction of the viruses on the nerves when you are trying to heal or if they are dying so I think it could have also been some of this as well causing my nausea. But the point of this is to go slow with supplements and try some then continue adding as you heal!

It is completely OK to just focus on healing foods at first as well.

I slowly added more to this list as I continued my journey. I only take 1-2 of each though because it can get pricey. So if you are worried about the money for this, just focus on healing foods first. I do recommend at least trying to get the spirulina, barley grass juice powder, Atlantic dulse, MicroC, and Zinc to start!

Sometimes I go without a supplement for a bit because I’m worried about budget and things. But in general, I try to take them every morning. 

Timing

I used to take all my supplements at night for about 2 years or so because that’s when I usually would take any medication I was on for allergies, birth control, and acid reflux so that was my routine.

Now, I take most of my supplements during the morning but I save the oil-based ones for nighttime to stay fat-free in the morning. I also wanted my supplements to be more easily absorbed and I usually have fat at night so fat does get in the way of vitamin, trace mineral, and glucose absorption. 

What I take

The supplement dosages are listed in Cleanse to Heal and other books for various conditions and symptoms. A dropperful is different from drops so be sure to read these carefully in Cleanse to Heal to see the right dosages. Listed here is what I generally take.

You can’t really overdose on natural herbs and food, but you can feel sick if you haven’t had these things before and the sick feeling is coming from the viruses dying or reacting to being killed or fought off.

At night I take:

  • Oil of oregano – 2 capsules
  • Vitamin D – 5 drops
  • Melatonin – 2-4 capsules. Usually 2. Which is 10 mg.
  • Primrose oil – 1-2 capsules only before ovulation if I take it. I don’t take it every night.

Sometimes I don’t take all of these supplements, and just take the melatonin at night though depending on what I feel like. 

In the morning I take the following tinctures:

  • B12 – 1-2 dropperfuls. I usually take 1.
  • Ashwagandha – 1 dropperful.
  • Licorice Root – 1 dropperful.
  • Nettle Leaf – 1-2 dropperful. Usually 2.
  • Iodine Edge – 8 drops with something else like a blueberry shot or another supplement that tastes good like Nettle.
  • Propolis Pure – 1 dropperful.
  • GoldenSeal – (I take it for two weeks and stop for two weeks) 2-6 dropperfuls. I usually take 2 because I go off and on for this one. When I’m sick though I increase this to 6 because it helps so much!
  • Zinc – 1-6 +. This is another essential for when I’m sick. I’ll do the Zinch Shock Therapy which is 2 dropperfuls every 6 waking hours. I usually take 2 dropperfuls most mornings.
  • Mullein Leaf – 1-3 dropperfuls. Usually 2 dropperfuls. 

In the morning I also take the following pills:

  • Micro C – 2 pills. When I’m sick I’ll take 2 pills every 5 waking hours.
  • Magnesium – 1 pill.
  • CoQ12 – 1 pill.
  • Tumeric – 2 pills.
  • L-lysine – 2 pills.
  • Black Cohosh – 2 pills
  • D-mannose – 2 pills

The Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie also has the following:

  • Spirulina – 1-2 scoops if I’m doing the advanced version of the smoothie
  • Atlantic Dulse – 2 scoops using the scooper from the powders.
  • Barley Grass Juice Powder – 1-2 scoops
  • Alma Berry Powder – 1 scoop

A Note for When I Travel

When I travel, I also take less and just take the essentials. The essentials I usually go for are:

  1. Micro C
  2. Zinc
  3. Lysine
  4. Melatonin at night

Sometimes I’ll take more with me, but these are the ones I try to bring. If I’m going on a plane I will not bring my tinctures unless I check a bag.

Why I Take These Supplements | What do they do?

In general, all the supplements help with the immune system by killing pathogens, blocking pathogens, or disarming them. Some bind onto toxins and heavy metals and remove them. Others just help the immune system function better by helping the white blood cells themselves. 

The details next to what each supplement does are taken from “Liver Rescue” by the Medical Medium Anthony William. Some of the information is from what I remember as well. I’ll Put LR in front of what I take from the book.

At night I take:

  • Oil of Oregano – Helps with Streptococcus and Reproductive Health. It is an overall immune booster. I couldn’t find this in Liver Rescue (LR), but he talks about it on his website and I’ve heard this through my research. On his blog, he says it helps with painful menstruation. It is antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and antiseptic. Strengthens core organs. Removes poison from the body and detoxes the lymphatic system to name just a few things!
  • Vitamin D3 – Feel good vitamin! This is what is made when we get some sunshine! In LR it says that this vitamin can help ignite the stored Vitamin D from the sun and food that may be inactive due to a stagnant liver. Be careful not to take too much because this can counter the effects. Too much is toxic to the liver, so it has to expel it. 
  • Melatonin – helps me sleep and also helps remove cysts. – This one doesn’t have fat, but I take it at night because it puts me to bed kind of quickly! LR says this vitamin helps reduce tumors and cysts growing in the liver. It can also reignite the capacity for the liver to make its own melatonin again if it stopped due to a sluggish liver. It is also a natural anti-inflammatory that the liver’s immune system can use.
  • Primrose oil – helps with a healthy lining of the uterus. (This is not on the MM website or in the books, but I’ve seen this on other websites and MM has an evening primrose oil recommendation on his Supplements page).

 

Sometimes I just take the melatonin at night and not the other things listed here depending on what I feel like or if it was a late night.

 

In the morning I take the following tinctures:

  • B12 – helps with neurological stuff and digestion. LR says to be sure to take it as adenosylcobalamin with methylcobalamin. It also says that B12 is essential in many liver functions including the ability for cells to communicate, protects nerve tissue, helps the liver perform its 2,000 chemical functions, keeps it out of stagnation, strengthens cells and lobules, and prevents the blood vessels from atrophying.
  • Ashwagandha – calms you down. LR says it strengthens the adrenals to work properly, especially when under stress. It also protects the liver from excess adrenaline and it helps the liver produce and store dozens of hormones.
  • Licorice Root – great for the immune system. LR says this vitamin helps with overall digestion because it increases hydrochloric acid in the stomach and soothes an inflamed or irritated gallbladder and intestinal lining. It also decreases viruses inside the liver and brings down excessive liver heat due to a liver that is highly toxic and struggling. It also reduces liver spasms.
  • Nettle Leaf – really good at fighting Streptococcus. LR says it also helps increase hydrochloric acid in the stomach and improves bile production which processes fats. It helps inhibit gallstone growth and supports bile passageways through the liver. It enhances liver cell functions, reduces liver heat from toxins, and gently cleanses old and new toxins and pathogens in the liver while improving the liver’s adaptive abilities.
  • Iodine Edge – Great for Thyroid health. I only take this with a shot of juice or in my tea when I used to take it at night. This is not listed in LR.
  • Propolis Pure – like honey on steroids! It’s supposed to help with intuition and is an overall immune booster. This is not listed in LR.
  • Goldenseal (I take it for two weeks and stop for two weeks) This has helped tremendously with my acne and fighting Strep. I noticed improvement immediately when switching to the Vimergy brand! LR says Goldenseal purges gentle bacterial debris, viral byproducts, neurotoxins, and other pathogenic waste matter from the body including the lymphatic system and liver. It can also quickly suffocate and destroy pathogens.
  • Zinc – Overall immune booster. LR says that Zin needs to be a liquid sulfate. It is responsible for all of the over 2,000 chemical functions of the liver including the creation of the liver in the womb and the growth of it until adulthood. Zinc is not abundant in our food because the chemicals used have made the solid devoid of it in the topsoil where most crops grow. The liver stores a lot of zinc because it is so essential in the functions of the body, but we still need a lot more because we are bombarded with pathogens and stress due to our lifestyles in today’s age. One of the reasons the liver stores the zinc is because it helps purge the liver of copper which can cause organ harm. The presence of copper can cause many autoimmune symptoms and illnesses. 
  • Mullein Leaf – Helps kill Streptococcus. LR says it is an antiviral and antibacterial. It reduces inflammation, clams liver spasms and liver heat, and soothes the liver. It can also expel mucus formation inside the liver’s blood vessels and cells.

In the morning I also take the following pills:

  • Micro C – Vitamin C that is highly absorbable in this form. Overall immune booster. LR says it strengthens the liver’s immune system. It can speed up white blood cell recuperation and recovery in between wars with pathogens. Vitamin C also weakens pathogens and the liver uses Vitamine C in its 2,000+ chemical liver functions. It cleanses and detoxifies the liver and can loosen fat cells. It strengthens the adrenal gland and helps with recovery after stress. It also helps repair scar tissue deep in the liver’s core.
  • Magnesium glycinate – LR says it makes blood vessels less restricted and more supple in order to allow blood flow through the liver. It gently flushes toxins out of the liver at the same time it calms liver spasms and agitation. It’s responsible for dozens of liver chemical functions including adaptation skills. It also gently cleanses the intestinal tract, allowing the liver to receive cleansed, less-toxic blood. 
  • CoQ12 – LR says this is also called Coenzyme Z10. It is a gentle antioxidant that supports all liver functions and protects liver cells from oxidative stress. One of the liver’s chemical functions can alter, adjust and customize specific antioxidants for its specific needs in the moment. CoZ10 is one of the antioxidants it needs to prevent extreme cell damage.
  • Turmeric- LR says it reduces liver swelling when a liver is hot from toxins. It helps squeeze out mucus from bile passageways and other places in the liver while it wakes up and stimulates liver cells. It also reignites and reroutes energy throughout the liver by clearing up all of this. Helps with hormone production inside the liver while removing and cleaning out unwanted toxic hormones. Overall, it increases liver performance.
  • Lysine – acts as a smokescreen in the liver to pathogens so the immune system can attack them! LR says that viruses hate this vitamin. It’s like a powder that comes out of a fire extinguisher in the liver; a viral retardant that deters viruses from proliferating. L-lysine strengthens the immune system in the liver and aids in some of the organ’s most essential functions.
  • Black Cohosh – This one was recommended on the Radio Show Archive Podcast. It’s supposed to help with Endometriosis. Not listed in LR.
  • D-mannose – Helps with endometriosis. LR says this vitamin binds to bacteria in the urinary tract to get rid of it. It helps UTIs a lot. Also, strep, which is a bacteria, can cause spasms in the urinary tract and reproductive system so this helps here as well.

The Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie also has the following:

  • Spirulina – is an algae that helps with heavy metal cleansing. LR says this algae also provides an abundance of vitamins and minerals to reestablish the liver’s storage banks of nutrients that it can easily convert into what it needs in the moment to release and deliver throughout the body. It stops pathogen growth and revitalizes the liver by binding onto toxins and poisons and carrying them out of the liver safely. Helps with the 2000+ liver functions. Aids in liver’s glucose storage and protein conversions. Hawaiian spirulina is no longer recommended due to all the trash in the Pacific Ocean.
  • Atlantic Dulce – It is a seaweed that binds onto pathogens and toxins to take them out of the body. LR doesn’t list this supplement.
  • Barley Grass Juice Powder – Helps with toxic heavy metal removal. LR says it contains phytonutrients that feed an undernourished liver while allowing it to detox pathogens and toxins both inherited and newly exposed. It takes and gives by removing these bad things and replacing their spot with vital nutrients the body needs.
  • Amla Berry Powder – Helps with reproductive health. LR says that it contains a rich wealth of antioxidants that protect the liver from old, inherited toxins as well as from new everyday exposure. It is high in vitamin C which does all the things listed for Vitamin C earlier. It also can help with liver functions and restore liver glucose stores.

My Morning Routine

This is what I eat each morning for the Liver Rescue morning which consists of:

  • Drinking 32oz. of lemon water
  • Waiting 15-30 minutes. 
  • Drinking 16-32 oz. of celery juice. 
  • Waiting 15-30 minutes. 
  • Taking supplements.
  • Drinking a smoothie or other breakfast option.
  • While I wait 15-30 minutes between drinking things, I prepare more food for the day and clean the kitchen as needed.

The timeline for this varies depending on whether or not I have work. I can spend 1 up to 4 hours doing my celery and lemon water and smoothie in the morning/afternoon.

Work Routine

Each morning while getting ready for work usually takes me about 45 minutes to prep and drink my lemon water, prep and drink celery juice, and prep smoothies for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I get a salad or grab leftovers for lunch.

Then it takes me about 30-40 minutes to prepare for work and take my supplements before heading out the door. I then sip my smoothie throughout the morning because drinking a liter of liquid keeps me pretty full.

Weekend Routine

I take my time on the weekends doing this routine so this can take a couple more hours to complete. Sometimes I wait too long after I wake up and I break my fast with food rather than doing the lemon water and celery juice.

On the weekend, or day I don’t have to be somewhere, I can take up to two hours doing what usually takes me 45 minutes.

My next goal is to try and keep my routine even when I don’t have to get somewhere so I’m ready to go for the day! I need to remember this in the summer because I tend to get out of a routine then and I always gain weight in the summer as a result. My goal this year is to stay in a routine so I can be more productive.

Continue reading to find out more details on the timelines of my morning routine as well as their variations. I will also discuss how these timelines have changed through the years before finding MM, during Covid, and after Covid lockdowns.

Next week I will cover the supplements I take and how I came to take them.

Detailed Timelines 

In this next section, I list a detailed timeline of my morning to see how long things take me. This helped me think about how long it actually takes me to do these things as well. Sometimes I feel like it’s forever when I take my time with it, but looking at the time this way made me realize how long it actually takes.

First I’ll review a typical morning during the workweek, what a late wake-up looks like when I don’t feel like getting up early, and then what my weekends or day off looks like.

Typical Morning:

Overall it took me about 45 minutes to prep and drink celery and lemon water. Then it took me 15 minutes to do my hair and makeup, 5 minutes to get dressed, another 5 minutes to take my supplements, then 4-5 minutes to gather my things and head out the door.

  • 6:30 AM Wake up
  • 4 min to get celery juicer together and make lemon water.
  • By 6:40 I have drunk my lemon water. I start washing and making celery juice.
  • While I start making celery juice I make my smoothie or smoothies.
  • 5 min to wash celery and run one’s leftover from yesterday.
  • 5 more min to make close to 32oz. I also started my HMDS at this time.
  • Now it’s 6:52 and I’m about to make my smoothies while I let my celery run a bitlonger to process all the juice.
  • Then 6:55 I strain the juice and clean the celery juicer 6:58 I’m done.
  • I usually clean my celery juicer while I’m waiting for the 20 minutes between my lemon water and celery juice.
  • 7 am is 20 min gap.
  • 7:03 While my smoothie is blending I start eating my celery juice and finishing my extraction smoothie.
  • 7:09 I’m making the 2nd smoothie and prepping honey thyme water.
  • 7:12 I’m done with my celery and making my 2nd smoothie.
  • 7:27 I did my makeup and brushed my teeth. 
  • 7:32 I’m dressed and loved on my beagle!
  • 7:36 I’m taking my supplements goal is to be on the road by 7:45
  • 7:40 I’m finished and gathering things to go out the door.
  • 7:42 out the door
  • 7:43 – 7:53 on the road
  • By 8:20 I’ll have sipped at least 1 cup of my smoothie. Sometimes I have two cups. Then I’ll sip it through the morning.
  • 11:15 Early Lunch – Sometimes I’ll finish the smoothie during lunch or after school. If I don’t have a salad or something other than another smoothie I’ll put it in the fridge and drink it on the way home. The HMDS makes about 32 oz. so this one takes me longer to drink than some of the other ones.

Waking up late @ 7:05

In this rushed state, I only took 20 minutes to prep and make things and take supplements. 12 minutes to do hair and makeup, 5 min to get dressed, and 5 min to gather things up and get on the road. Then I take my time drinking celery juice. It takes me 25 minutes to get to work so I’ll sip it the whole time and hold it in my throat at times to get it working in that area.

  • 7:07 – Lemon water only drank 16 oz while making celery juice. 
  • 7:27 – I finished making celery juice; a watermelon smoothie with already cut watermelon in the fridge. I also took supplements but not all of them.
  • 7:39 done getting hair and make-up done and teeth brushed.
  • 7:49 on the road.
  • I drink Celery juice on the way to work in this scenario.
  • Then I usually wait at least 30 minutes before sipping my smoothie in school. Sometimes I wait an entire hour after Celery juice in this scenario because I don’t get a chance to drink a smoothie while I teach.

The Weekend

I’ll get up anywhere between 7-9 AM. Then I take my time with the morning routine. For the sake of the timeline, I’ll do this according to the 9 AM wake-up time. The following timeline is on a lazy day when I have nowhere to be in the morning.

  • 9 AM wake up then I’ll play on my phone looking at social media or other things for 1-2 hours at times when I’m being lazy.
  • 11 AM ish Then when I get up I’ll have the lemon water and drink that while I prep celery juice. I’ll sip the lemon water more slowly so it takes me 20 minutes to drink a lot of times and then I wait 30 minutes after I’m done sipping it to drink the celery juice. 
  • While I drink my lemon water I make my celery juice, but I’m not in a rush so this takes me longer than usual. I’ll also sometimes prep a smoothie here too.
  • 11:50 I’ll sit at the TV while I drink my celery juice. 
  • 11:30 I’ll be done with my celery juice and wait 30 minutes to have my smoothie while I watch TV or play games on my phone.
  • 12 PM I’ll start sipping my smoothie and I’ll drink that into 2 PM ish. Many times my husband and I will grab lunch at this point as well.
  • Sometimes I forget to take my supplements on lazy days, but I try to take them during my smoothie time if I do take them.

When I have something to do in the morning I usually stick to my 45-minute preparation. If I’m not making smoothies this time gets cut done a little but not by much.

When looking at this timeline it can seem overwhelming to see how long things take and where busy people would fit that in their schedules. Convenience is killing us! Is it easier to grab a bagel at Wawa and not prepare your own food, YES! Is it worth your health? NO. 

I feel great when I stick with my morning routine. If I fall off it for a week or two because of vacation or something going on, headaches start to come back and so does the acid reflux. This stuff works!

How this timeline has evolved through the past 2.5 years.

This section is organized in my before Medical Medium era, During Covid, and After Covid. My timeline has changed a lot due to these circumstances.

Before Medical Medium 

I usually needed about 45 minutes to get ready before I found Medical Medium. All of this time was spent on getting ready, preparing lunch and breakfast for the day, and going to work. I was always rushing as I’m not a morning person and don’t like getting up.

My breakfast before Medical Medium usually consisted of a coffee and a protein bar or shake. Sometimes I’d grab a bagel or sandwich from Dunkin or Wawa. These are not very healthy at all. 

I thought I was healthy with the protein bar, but it turns out that Whey protein is terrible for you because Whey is from milk.

I probably spent 15 minutes max getting my food prepped for the day, and most of that was on coffee! My other things were always grab-and-go. This included me planning out my lunch by grabbing leftovers, a protein shake, or buying lunch (and usually breakfast if I was stopping there) at Wawa before the school day.

After Finding Medical Medium During Covid!

I found MM during the Lockdowns so my morning routine has evolved quite a bit in these past couple of years because of the various circumstances of the morning commute. I was fortunate to learn these things during the lockdown so I could bring it into my habits in a regular schedule as well!

During Lockdowns

I found MM during Covid lockdowns in August 2020. I was fortunate to be able to have some more time to learn his information and apply it because I was working from home so I didn’t have to commute or get completely dressed for school! 

I also read parts of Cleanse to Heal during August in 2020 and completed my first 369 cleanse before school started so I felt like I knew a good amount before I had to get into a routine with school again. I was working from home that school year for half of the year, but I did spend a good portion of my days teaching classes online like regular school. 

We went back to school in November teaching virtually while having to drive to school. The kids started trickling in with social distancing around January 2021. Then, more kids came back the following year and there was still a good amount of learning virtually. This year (2022/2023) was like a normal year with only a small handful still doing virtual learning. 

Working from Home Routine

While I was working from home, I didn’t have to plan my lunch ahead of time because I was home. I don’t usually have time to go out at all for lunch so I always bring it to school. My morning routine does consist of me getting lunch ready as well. I try to have something planned the night before so I don’t have to think about it in the morning. 

My morning routine timeline was taking all school day to complete. I would get up and do my celery juice. Then I would teach 1st period and try to drink it during class (which usually didn’t happen). I ended up drinking it during my prep 2nd period. 

Then I would go downstairs and make a smoothie. Since I just finished the celery juice I  had to wait at least 20 minutes before having my smoothie. Then I would get pretty hungry for lunchtime and I’d snack on different things while I taught.

It was nice having that time to learn the recipes and being able to go downstairs to grab something if I needed it!

Working from School with Virtual Learning 

I had to stick to my routine outlined above, but I could leave a little later. Most offices and things of that nature were still online so my morning commute was 15-20 minutes most days. I’d leave around 8 and get to school in plenty of time for first period which started at 8:30. 

I usually got up around 7 AM for this schedule and I usually drank my celery juice in school and still took a long time to complete the morning routine. 

After Covid Lockdowns

As things started gradually opening up I had to get up earlier to accommodate the longer commute to school which is what my current routine is! If I’m running late I’ll drink my celery juice on the way to work. 

Overall, I love this routine. If I don’t stick to it because I’m on vacation or something, I start to feel the negative effects of not having my lemon water, celery juice, and fat-free smoothie! Headaches and acid reflux can come back up especially if I’m indulging in baked goods and cheese. I’m still figuring this whole lifestyle out! 

There was a slow process in releasing lockdowns. This 2022/2023 school year was the first normal year since 2020. 

The timelines listed above are my routine after these lockdowns. Traffic to school has increased my commute by about 10 minutes each way so had to leave my house earlier than I was when the lockdowns were still in place.

How it started, how it’s going, why it’s so hard, and addictions.

So I have been cheating EVERYDAY on the Medical Medium Protocols since my birthday on May 17th, 2022. I’m eating dairy, eggs and gluten in my meals when I cheat. I usually only eat these things for dinner and sometimes lunch when I cheat so my morning routine is still pretty solid.

Medical Medium Protocols are so hard to follow when you don’t have people around you trying to make similar changes. It also doesn’t help that my husband guilt trips me saying, “You’ve changed”! 

We used to eat dinner and breakfast together all the time on the weekends and me changing my eating habits has put a wrench into this routine. I’m still working out how to best approach these changes ANd still eat dinner with my husband. He is completely resistant to changing his diet.

Additionally, A lot of people I see who seem to have mastered this lifestyle on social media have been following him for 4+ years! I am just not there yet. I’m still working on getting into a routine of cooking more!

Why it’s so difficult: How My Spiral Started

I was always planning to cheat on my birthday because last year, in May 2021, I did a 369 cleanse for my birthday and skipped a good cake and regretted it because I LOVE cake! I also asked my steak to be made with no butter, and it just wasn’t as good as a steak usually is! 

This year in May 2022, my original plan was to do the mono cleanse up to my birthday, cheat with some good cake and food, and then go back to mono cleansing. 

I went out to dinner with the parents at Outback on May 19th, 2022, and had cheese fries and some wings. Then, I had more birthday dinners with Chris going out to eat that weekend and I just continued cheating. I love dessert and cakes and tiramisu as well so I indulged in all of that. 

Then, I got sick with a cold so it was really difficult to go back to the mono cleansing.

When I get sick I tend to go to my comfort foods and what I know because that is what I grew up eating. I spent 35 years on this earth eating a certain way. Getting sick is just one of those things that puts me right into survival mode. 

I know logically it would make sense to follow MM protocols and not cheat with the stuff that feeds the bugs when you are sick, but I really have a hard time with this because following MM protocols means making all my own food.

When I’m sick, it’s hard to make my own food. It is so much easier getting food delivered or eat something someone else makes. All the people around me make food with butter, cheese and gluten. If I’m not making all my own food from scratch then I am eating the no foods!  

When I’m sick it is really hard to veer off the treaded path. This makes me think of the people who are chronically ill and cannot get off their beds and how they jump into MM protocols so fully. I don’t know how they do it. 

I think because I’m not chronically ill where my life is impeded, that I have a hard time jumping in full throttle. 

Additionally, the smoothies and things like that are less apetizing than the pizza I smell that my husband eats at least 4 times a weel! I am a Taurus and I LOVE food. I love cheese as well so these things are just so hard for me to give up. 

I’m trying to find balance in doing the Medical Medium Protocols without stressing that I’m harming my health. The MM community seems so perfect online! 

I’m here to say that I am not perfect and will never claim to be. 

Mono Cleansing & Getting Sick

I was doing potato mono cleanses through the spring but I was cheating almost every weekend while doing this. I think the extreme of eating mono meals all day and then eating cheese and gluten made me get sick. I could have also picked up a bug as well that made me sick because everyone around me was getting this illness.

 Here is an outline of how long the cleanses lasted through the spring.

  • 2-21-22 I did 4 days and cheated on going out to eat with Chris on Day 5. I lost 5 lbs. In 4 days.
  • 3-21-22 I did another potato mono cleanse. I only lasted 4.5 days for this one again and only lost 2 lbs. However, I weighed myself close on the one day I didn’t cheat and then I cheated going to this Delco Prom party!  I think this is really where I started stressing out a lot because I didn’t lose a lot of weight and I keep cheating. I also asked my guides about how long I should do the mono cleanse and they said 2 weeks. 
  • 3-29-22 two solid days then cheated because my cycle started. I always have a harder time staying fat free on my cycle. I also crave chocolate ALOT on my cycle.
  • 4-1-22 I lasted seven days on the cleanse!!! I got down to 189.1lbs. This is the smallest I’ve been since my wedding! I was around 190lbs for my wedding. My goal was to continue after Orthodox Easter.
  • 4-24-22 did 3 days then cheated because my cycle started. I always have a harder time staying fat free on my cycle. I also crave chocolate ALOT on my cycle.
  • 4-29-22 I lasted 15 days on this cleanse however I had a lot of symptoms. 
    • A painful pimple developed on right elbow on day 2 of the mono cleanse. 
    • On Day 8 my ear started getting popped and I was really anxious in general and pimples popped up. 
    • On Days 9-11 I changed my mono diet from mono steamed potatoes to mono bananas. 
    • On Days 5-11 day I had a lot of snot and didn’t feel well at school toward 8th period. I took off 2.5 days Thurs, Fri, and ½ of Monday as a result.  
    • On Day 15 I started transitioning off the cleanse on Friday the 13th.
    • I lost a total of 12 lbs. 

So after all of this, I started cheating and the popped ear/dizziness turned into a pretty bad ear infection. I should have taken the antibiotics from 5-18-22 when I called for it because I’m still dealing with a bit of a popped ear on 7-29-22.

I got ear drops for the ear in June, but they didn’t fix the problem and my ears are still popped as of 7-29-22 when I started writing this post. 

I was really disheartened that I got so sick doing the cleansing and spiraled into cheating and continued cheating with cheese and chocolate and all the things that I’m constantly craving/love to eat!

Backtracking in the timeline here a bit, In May when I got off the cleanse, I was freakin out because I didn’t want to take off too much work. I ended up eating cheese and gluten that day I came home for a ½ day from work because I wanted to slow down my cleansing and get better. I know this is counter intuitive and probably made things worse.

I put something on Facebook for help, but everyone seems so perfect on there like they don’t eat meat or even cheat. At least that’s the impression I get from the MM community. People did give me some advice, but one person was like, “Why would you eat gluten and dairy?!” 

UGH. Because I’m freaking out AND I got sick that’s why. When I get sick I always go back to my comfort food. I also freak out because I have it in my head that MM is going to fix everything so when I go backwards I freak out!

That’s WHY!

Before Cheating on MM Protocols & Natural Flavors AKA MSG

Before this cheating streak since my birthday this year, I would stay away from dairy, gluten, and eggs completely. I would eat a lot of dairy-free products and fake butter as a replacement.

Then I found out that natural flavors are terrible for your brain. There are a lot of natural flavors and things of that nature inthe fake cheeses and butters; so I was a little disheartened because I thought I was making a good choice here, but then I don’t think I was.

Additionally , natural flavors is an ingredient a little further down the no foods list so I wonder if it would be better to do the fake butter or not. 

As soon as I feel like I’m finding a flow with substitutes for things I love, I find out that they have things in them that aren’t great. I’m struggling with this whole idea here so if you have any advice feel free to share in the comments below! What is better; Processed foods or just eating some cheese or gluten in a homemade meal?

Natural Flavors and MSG

On MM’s blog titled, “Troublemakers That Make Us Sick – Food Chemicals”, he lists MSG as one of those foods. In this section he explains that MSG can build up in the brain going deep into the tissue. It causes inflammation, swelling and kill brain cells. It “disrupts electrical impulses, weaken neurotransmitters, burns out neurons, and makes you feel confused and anxious.” It can even lead to micro-strokes and weaken/injure your central nervous system.

Here is a list of all the things that are MSG in food ingredients. What is not listed is natural flavors. This is also MSG.

“glutamate, hydrolyzed, autolyzed, protease, carrageenan, maltodextrin, sodium caseinate, balsamic vinegar, barley malt, malt extract, yeast extract, brewer’s yeast, corn starch, wheat starch, modified food starch, gelatin, textured protein, whey protein, soy protein, soy sauce, broth, bouillon, stock, and seasoning.” https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/troublemakers-that-make-us-sick-food-chemicals  

I also recently listened to Alyssa Delgato’s story on the MM podcast on Apple Podcasts and she described how she would eat the dairy free things too at first to stay away from dairy. Then, after she found out that natural flavors were terrible for healing, she stayed away from those foods. 

She mentioned that this was a perfect pacing for her because she was able to ween off of things gradually. She also had to ween off her medications gradually as well. I highly recommend you listen to her story on the MM podcast because it brought me to tears several times! It is so inspiring.

How eating No Foods makes me feel

The biggest thing I’ve learned doing MM protocols. I’ve learned what foods just make me feel good and give me energy and which ones zap all my energy and make me feel lethargic.

Every time I cheat I gain all my weight back that I lost. That is always hard to see and it makes me feel even more guilty for  enjoying a regular dinner with my husband or family. It takes a lot of effort to follow a cleanse and this lifestyle, so just a little cheat meal just doesn’t work for me. 

As of September 2022 I gained all the weight I lost back from all the cleansing I did the past year and a half. I need to get back on track to start losing all this weight again!

Summer Cheating & Routine

The summer is always a time of no routines! I love it and at the same time it does give me anxiety because I don’t always know what to do with myself. 

I always have all these large goals in the summer to do certain things like paint the house, do some Marie Kondo cleaning, or work on curriculum for school. I don’t get to these large goals right away so when there is only a month left in the summer I try to pack everything into that month which is anxiety inducing.

The summer always leaves more time to catch up with friends and family as well. I love being able to do whatever I want, but I ALWAYS gain weight in the summer when I eat out a lot catching up with people and drinking more.

Social drinking is always something I’ve enjoyed when hanging out with family and friends. I cannot drink the same way anymore after following Medical Medium Protocols and liver cleanses. 

If I do drink I need to eat how I used to for a couple of days so I don’t feel so bad the next day after drinking. If I drink the next day after completing a 3,6,9 cleanse; I feel like I’m dying the next day/week! All of this also depeds on how much I drink. When I’m socializing I don’t always count my drinks which is another problem. If I drink more I have a worse hangover, but that is just common sense, right?

I’m trying to find a balance in my MM routine and how I can make it work with my lifestyl, but I’m still figuring that part out!

Note on addictions: 

I cannot wait until the new Medical Medium Books come out that talk about Brain Savers. In the books MM says he discusses addiction. 

I did find a lot of information about addiction by looking up MM info and FoodBabe info. MM talks a lot about MSG, Natural Flavors, and Mental Health. Before I dive into the top of this information I want to talk more about my addictions and why this is so hard for me.

My Addictions

Despite all these challenges, I always stayed pretty good for my morning routine, but once things came into the evening, I would cheat with gluten, dairy and eggs. 

Eggs are hard for me mostly because of desserts and cakes. I have been staying away from eggs as breakfast food.

As a side note, the Kookaburra wings at Outback have powdered cheese as their ingredients! UGH; no wonder they were so good! I was eating those wings trying to follow the Medium Medical Lifestyle. 

At first I thought they complied with MM protocols because it was just meat. I would stay away from the blue cheese when I would order them. Eventually, I looked up the ingredients because things I think are so good usually have something that I’m not supposed to have in it. Turns out, they use powdered cheese in the seasoning.

It is hard to find that balance of enjoying going out and following medical medium.

OUTSIDE HELP!

I meet with a nutritionist and dietitian every 2 months or so. I look forward to working with Joy because she can get me back on track to eating better. We talk for about an hour about what is going on in my life and how I’ve been eating. Then, she always sends me 3-5 goals to work on until our next meeting. I find this very helpful! 

On July 9th we met and these are the goals:

  1. Get back to greens/smoothies
  2. Get a plan for dinner (This is also part of my 4 goals from our most recent meeting on 9-10-22.)
  3. Write down dinner to see on the fridge to stick to it. Pick 3 days to make bigger meals to make in bulk.
  4. Keep up with movement and exercise.
  5. Make plain bulk meat for Chris to reheat so we can have stuff through the week.

After this meeting, I went to an energy healer and she said that I needed to calm down with the cleanses and take it easy. It was more about the mindset. I was really stressing about sticking with the cleanses while cheating and she picked up on that!

The whole try to do fewer cleanses advice was also really stressing me out at the same time because I was planning on doing another one soon. She said that it’s OK to want to lose weight, but that I was stressing about it too much about it and to just take a break and do them less often.

I definitely was stressing about not doing the cleanses too much. I kept thinking I was missing opportunities because I wasn’t high vibrational enough, and that MM would fix all my problems. I’m coming to a more steady understanding that we need to implement things one step at a time.

It is extremely difficult to change and entire lifetime of habits in a couple of years! I tell everyone that the only reason I still stick to MM protocols after a few years of still not getting pregnant is because these protocols make me feel so much better. 

That is also why I stress because I know how good I feel eating a certain way, but again its so hard to do when I’m busy. 

Changing habits surrounding cooking:

I never got into a good habit of making food each night so that is also a blessing a a curse. It is a blessing because now it can be easier to make new habits with cooking different things; but it is also a curse because the alternative is eating out!

I am also just so tired at the end of the school day and never feel like cooking. It is sooo much easier to eat out. My husband has been cooking food more recently, but when he cooks it is always the bad stuff! 

My biggest challenge right now is trying to find a routine around eating that works for my husband and I. He tells me that he hates making food for just himself, but every time we eat together, its the food that I know isn’t good for me. It always had gluten and cheese in it usually in some Italian form. 

My goal this school year is to cook more MM meals for dinner and find ones that both my husband and I can enjoy. Follow me on this journey as I figure things out!

Morning Routine Announcement!

I’m excited to announce my Morning Routine Series which I’ll be posting for the next 20 weeks!

I was inspired to write the poem above after listening to a TikTok about gardening. It was by a rapper named, Gardening with Goo, who was rapping about starting a garden. I was inspired to write a rap about morning cleansing and staying fat-free.

I am not a rapper!

So I changed the song into the poem you see above! Then, I decided to make this series about my morning routine as it’s been a staple in my life since following Medical Medium in August of 2020. Continue reading to see:

Why I am focusing on Morning Routine?

While my cravings have gone down a lot following Medical Medium protocols, I haven’t eliminated all the “no-foods” list. The foods on this list prevent optimal health because these foods feed pathogens or they don’t support a healthy immune system.

I STRUGGLE with following all of his information every day throughout the entire day! The morning routine was one of those things that just clicked. Even if I have 3 donuts that day, I know I did my body good by following my morning routine (or at least parts of it when traveling!)

Despite my challenges following MM protocols the morning routine to help the liver cleanse has been a solid foundation since starting my journey!

I am far from perfect with following all the Medical Medium protocols. I especially have a hard time staying away from dairy which I LOVE! I am also a sweet eater and love cakes and cookies and donuts so these are my weaknesses.

Additionally, I’m not super chronically ill where I’m on mattress island. People who tend to follow his protocols fully all at once are chronically ill and cannot go through their daily routines as a result.

That is not me. I had some aches and pains and I am having issues with fertility and acne, but dairy, gluten, and eggs don’t really bother me too much after I eat them. However, following the MM lifestyle, I have noticed if I have too many of these things, I will have negative reactions.

Every time I eat a lot of dairy, my acne flares up. Gluten makes me itchy. Eggs make me feel lethargic.

I never ate eggs too much before, but I had them during the summer for breakfast with my father for the first time in about 2 years and they made me feel pretty terrible overall when eaten by themselves. I’ll still have cakes and cookies and they won’t bother me too much.

As a side note, MM says that it’s not me that craves dairy. It’s the Strep and other pathogens that basically hijack our systems to make us think we are craving things when really they crave them.

Again, the morning routine has been a staple in my life despite the challenges of giving up the No Foods list.

What Our Liver Does for Us

It prepares ahead of time and cleans up after you make mistakes. “It’s a storehouse, a filter, a processing center, a garbage service, and more. It shields you, it protects you and it defends you from every angle.” P5 Liver Rescue by Anthony William.

In Part 1 of here are 7 chapters dedicated to what the liver does in “Liver Rescue” by Anthony William the Medical Medium. This is all in Part 1: Your Liver’s True Calling: Miracle Peacekeeper.

  • Chapter 1: What your Liver Does for You

  • Chapter 2: You adaptogenic Liver: Processing Fat and Protecting the Pancreas

  • Chapter 3: Your Life-Giving Liver: Glucose and Glycogen Storage

In chapter 6, MM mentions that the liver has these little Elves (nodules) that help sweep all the toxins and sort the good stuff from the bad stuff. These elves are CONSTANTLY working. If they are overburdened then they can’t clean all the bad stuff up as efficiently. As a result toxins and pathogens may get past the liver and create dirty blood.

The liver is also very intelligent and anticipates when we will eat that fat. It will start producing bile so it can break down the fat in the body. If we eat fat in the morning it has to stop doing all the other functions mentioned above and focuses on bile production.

Finally, I know many people struggle with weight gain. MM dedicates an entire 6 pages in Liver Rescue on Weight Gain and why it happens. The Liver Rescue Moring can help with this, but you need to stay low fat for most if not all of the day to see the scale move!

I’ve had the most success staying fat-free on a cleanse with losing weight. However, I’m still working on this aspect of the information as I have gained back a lot of my weight this summer!

What is the Morning Routine?

The morning routine is the Liver Rescue Morning outlined in AW’s books Liver Rescue and Cleanse to Heal. On pages 334-338 AW outlines what the Liver Rescue Morning is and why it’s so important. Here is a brief summary. I encourage you to read the book to find out even more and read the living words present in the book directly from Spirit of Compassion!

We do the morning routine to give our liver a chance to detox the body for even more hours after we wake up. There are just two simple steps.

  • We need to hydrate to help the liver flush out the toxins and other things.

  • We need to avoid radical fats so the liver can continue detoxing.

Detox

The liver goes to sleep at the same time we do. It wakes up early in the morning around 3-4 AM so it can start cleaning and sorting all the toxins we picked up through the previous day (or even previous years).

Your liver knows you won’t be drinking espresso or other fatty meals in these early hours while you are asleep. It takes this chance to start cleaning and doing its other cleansing functions.

When you wake up the blood is dirty with all the toxins and other things ready to leave your system that the liver discarded.

Hydration

It is best that you start your morning with a hydrating drink like lemon water to flush out these toxins through the kidneys and urinary tract. MM mentioned in a live one day that the only way our body releases toxins and pathogens is through the digestive system. We don’t release toxins through the skin.

If you don’t start the day with lemon water, lime water, celery juice, or cucumber juice to hydrate, then the liver has to absorb all these toxins again rather than letting the body flush them out.

Here are some examples of ways to hydrate in the morning:

  1. Lemon water = 1 lemon to 32 oz. OR ½ lemon to 16 oz water.

  2. Lime water = 2 limes to 32oz. water OR 1 lime to 16 oz of water.

  3. Celery juice = Juicing celery in a juicer. Don’t add any water or anything to it. About 1.25 -1.5 bunches makes me 32oz using the Omega Juicer.

  4. Cucumber juice = juice the cucumber in a juicer. I need two English Cucumbers and 6 apples to make 32oz of cucumber apple juice.

  5. Smoothies with no radical fats or nut butters.

  6. Plain Fruit

Stay Away From Radical Fats

The minute you eat radical fats, your liver stops detoxing and starts producing bile to process the fat. That means it stops it’s other 2,0000 functions of cleaning and detoxing to focus on processing the fat. Stay away from the fats to increase the detox window!

Radical fats include but aren’t limited to nuts, nut butters, seeds, oil, avocado, coconut, eggs, bacon, milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, whey protein powder, turkey, chicken, sausage, ham, and more. MM also has mentioned in a live that most protein sources = radical fat. All of the examples of radical fats mentioned above are protein except coconut and avocado!

Spirulina, an algae, is a protein but it is a much less fatty option and it is not considered a radical fat.

You can also find fat in a lot of fruits and veggies so don’t worry about consuming too little fat if you try to go fat-free. The fat in fruits and veggies is not a radical fat so you can eat most fruits and veggies in the morning. Just stay away from coconut and avocado.

Coconut water is fine as it doesn’t have radical fats. The meat of the coconut, coconut milk, and coconut cream are the fatty parts.

The Standard American Diet consists of having fat with every meal. When the liver is constantly producing bile for each meal, the good stuff that we eat in the meal like the fruits and veggies in a chicken salad, for example, don’t get absorbed as well because the liver is focusing more on producing that bile rather than sorting the nutrients for use.

Give your liver a break in the morning and stay fat-free! So your liver can find the key and be set free of being fatty and sluggish!

How to enhance the Effects of a Liver Rescue Morning

In this section, you will find out more about the types of water we can hydrate with and what the deal is with protein and all about blood sugar. MM mentions that there are two types of water contained in fruits and vegetables. These two types of water can help supercharge your morning routine!

Hydrobioactive Water

Hydrobioactive water, “holds life-giving nutrients to support your physical health and hydrate your cells much better than any drink of plain water can.” p336 Liver Rescue.

In “Life Changing Foods” MM tells us that hydrobioactive water is living water. It replenishes the body and feeds the bloodstream. P31.

You can find this bioactivate this kind of water by squeezing lemon or lime into the water. You can also put cucumbers and aloe gel into the water to activate it as well. Finally, coconut water, smoothies, and fresh vegetable or fruit juices are all incredibly hydrating and help the liver remove toxins from the blood and body.

Cofactor Water

Cofactor water “Has nutrients that specifically feed you on a soul level”. P 336 Liver Rescue. This water gives you an emotional advantage.

In “Life Changing Foods” MM states that cofactor water has trace minerals, mineral salts, enzymes, and phytochemicals that specifically feed us spiritually and emotionally. This helps keep our souls alive! P31.

Our livers are emotional.

MM states in Liver Rescue that if you get a liver from someone in a transplant, then that person sometimes adopts the demeanor of the person whose liver was given. They know this because they knew the person that donated the liver.

Our livers are emotional and giving them an emotional advantage by giving them nutrients that help feed our mind, body and soul is a good morning to me!

More Information on these Waters

Taken from p 31 in Life-Changing Foods:

You will find both hydrobioactive water and cofactor water in fresh fruits and vegetables. They are divided by cell walls in the fruits and veggies but when you eat them they combine. Our bodies can differentiate and use each part where it is needed.

MM states that science doesn’t know about cofactor water because we currently study it by pulling all the parts apart. When we open the fruit and vegetables those cell walls break like when we eat them and science cannot differentiated between the types of water.

When we start studying water in the system of the whole plant like we study blood and lymph in the body, then we can start to see how they are “separate yet aligned.”

Worried About Protein?

Some people may think they need protein to feel full longer in the mornings. (I used to be one of them!) MM says this full feeling is deceptive. The full feeling doesn’t accurately reflect what we need.

What we need is glucose which is sugar. Glucose is what runs pretty much our entire body. Here is a quote from the Medical Medium’s “Fruit Fear” article on his blog:

“That’s right, your brain runs on sugar, which is glucose, and not fat. Every single movement you take, task you do, thought you think, and word you speak requires glucose. Your brain heats up when you think and requires sugar to keep it cool. This explains the instinctual cravings for sugar that we experience during highly emotional and stressful situations in life. Like antifreeze acts as a coolant for an overheated car, the glucose we get from eating fruit helps to calm and cool our brain.” MM Blog Article LINK

Fruits and vegetables do have protein and amino acids. The most bioavailable protein that our bodies can use is available in leafy greens.

Most high protein sources like eggs, turkey, bacon, coconut, whey protein, etc. are also high in fat. Their main calorie source is fat.

Remember, fat stops the liver’s detox processing.

Caffeine

Stay away from caffeine because caffeine makes your adrenals produce adrenaline and this adrenaline is corrosive. While it may feel like you get an energy boost in the moment, you will have a low after that energy boost because our livers need to process that adrenaline.

Blood Sugar and Glucose

Going back to the idea of our body needing sugar and glucose to run we can understand why it is so important to eat every two hours.

Blood sugar can drop anywhere between 45minutes to a couple of hours after a meal depending on what people are dealing with neurologically and other sensitivities. If someone is more sensitive because they have had a viral load or symptoms, then their blood sugar drops quicker because it is used up quickly.

When the blood sugar drops, then the liver uses reserve glucose (sugar) to make things work inside the body. Most people have low glucose stores in the liver so then the adrenaline kicks in. This corrosive adrenaline not only wears out your adrenals but it also affects our liver and nervous systems as well in a negative way.

Fat also blocks glucose from being absorbed and stored properly. Therefore, if you have that bacon egg and cheese bagel maybe with some leafy greens and tomato in the mix; it has a really hard time getting absorbed properly from all the other fats in that meal blocking proper absorption.

MM mentions that he knew people that would eat a protein-rich diet in the morning but still feel very hungry as well. That means they may not be getting enough glucose. This could happen from not eating enough glucose or from eating high-fat meals all day that block glucose absorption.

If a fruit-filled morning leaves you not feeling full; then you may have to work on building up your glucose stores if they were depleted. Have patience and you will see that improve.

Many people including me feel more satisfied with a Liver Rescue Morning than ever before! I know I do!

Despite all of this I still stayed strong with a morning/afternoon routine for the most part. Traveling in the summer was a little different this year compared to last year as well.

I will discuss why we need to start the day with celery juice on an empty stomach. How can you work your way up to 32 ounces a day? Traveling with celery juice options and my experience here from last year compared to this year down the shore.

WHY IS THIS MM FRIENDLY?

This is Medical Medium friendly because I am not using breadcrumbs or Eggs. Eggs, dairy, gluten, soft drinks, and too much salt are in level 1 of the ttrouble-makerfoods.

The troublemaker foods feed the bad bugs or create an environment in our bodies the bad bugs like. Bad bugs are pathogens such as viruses and bacteria that make us sick. We want to support good bacteria with the right foods and starve the viruses and bad bacteria by staying away from the troublemaker foods!

Anthony William dedicates 34 pages to the troublemaker foods in his book “Cleanse to Heal”. He explains what they do to harm us and many more tips on how to avoid these foods in the book.

I use oats instead of breadcrumbs in this recipe. Be sure to look for gluten-free oats as they are processed in factories that also process wheat. If you get a GF one, it will be free of any residue from wheat/gluten.

I also replace the egg with a flax egg. To make the flax egg take 1 tbs flaxseed meal (ground up flax seed) and mix it with 2.5 tbs water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken. The result is the equivalent of 1 egg. I got this flax egg recipe from the minimalist baker. This egg works well because it binds the meat together well. https://minimalistbaker.com/

I do use Heinz Ketchup in this recipe. Heinz Ketchup does have a lot of things that are on the trouble maker foods list. Citric acid, natural flavors, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup are things you should not have on a strict cleanse. I cheat sometimes when I am not on a strict cleanse.

You can make healthy ketchup using tomato paste without citric acid and some other seasonings. AW has many recipes on his blog, medicalmedium.com.

HOW I CAME TO THIS RECIPIE

I have tried several meatloaf recipes in the past. My mother as well as my mother-in-law always said they didn’t measure the ingredients. This would always leave me to my own accord in regards to seasoning, and I would always put way too many onions and garlic.

I love onions and garlic. My husband, Chris, does not!

One time I made the meatloaf by just winging it, and it was too garlicky for even me. I would make these meatloaves and then I would be the only one eating the leftovers because he didn’t like them. This would lead to food waste as well.

Therefore, I went to his mother’s recipe because she was able to tell me more measurements for each ingredient. I also knew my husband liked his mother’s meatloaf so I wanted to refine it to have this as an option for dinner.

She always uses oats for her meatloaf and it is very good! I modified it further to comply with the no eggs in the Medical Medium protocols as well.

That is how this recipe was created! I am happy to mention that my very picky Chris has approved this meatloaf recipe. He thought it was delicious, even with the flax egg.

MORE DETAILS ON TRYING THIS RECIPE FOR MY HUSBAND

My husband likes the taste of onion but not the texture so I try to make it as fine as I can. I found using a small food processor worked the best for me. You’ll see me using several different things in the video to figure this out!

I tried the grater first because the food processor leaves some chunks of the onion. The bottom doesn’t quite get all the pieces of onion. I don’t mind the chunks, but Chris always seems to find them! I find that when I try to grate the onion I always cut my fingers on the grate because it is a little difficult to do which is why the small food processor is the best option for me.

Chris also does not like a lot of garlic and other seasonings in the food. I make it fairly bland, but feel free to add more spices like salt, pepper, and garlic powder when you mix all the ingredients to give it a bit more flavor. I find the oats and onion to make it very flavorful. If I want a bit more flavor I can add it after it cooks as well.

WHAT DOES AW SAY ABOUT MEAT?

Anthony William states that he does not subscribe to any kind of eating. This includes animal protein eaters, plant-based-eaters, paleo, or keto. He (and the Spirit of Compassion) want to give us the tools to help us heal. AW always says that people who eat all of these different ways are sick.

Part of the reason we are all sick is because of a fatty sluggish liver! Many people walk around with a liver overloaded with pathogens (toxins, viruses, and bacteria), and they don’t even know it!

AW explains that people also “fat themselves to death” by eating way too many fats and proteins that our body doesn’t digest properly with a fatty and sluggish liver. He explains that protein = fat, and fat isn’t great for the liver because it has to produce bile to digest the fat.

When the liver focuses on digesting fats, it doesn’t do any of its other 2,000 processes. These processes include cleaning out toxins and pathogens from the body.

AW mentions that the protein myth is that we need protein to survive. It’s not the protein that our bodies need, it’s glucose (sugar). However, be careful to have the natural sugars in fruits and not the processed sugar packaged with fat we find in cakes and pastries.

In one of his lives, AW explained that acids from fats also rust the metals in your brain (if you have them) and short circuit the brain causing various mental problems including ADHD, bipolar, migraines, depression, OCD, and more.

Plant-based people are loading up on fats including nuts and nut butter. Animal-based protein eaters are loading up on fats in the proteins they eat all day long. Therefore, we all get sick can get sick if we don’t follow his cleansing protocols!

Our bodies can heal; we just need to right tools to help aid in its processes!

Liver

Meat and Fat While Cleansing

Many of AW and SOC’s (Spirit of Compassion) cleanses omit meat and fat, but his protocols after a cleanse do not restrict eating meat.

There are various cleanses to choose from. AW has you decreasing fats to 50% and trying to keep animal protein ONLY for dinner in the original 3.6.9 cleanse for the first 3 days. He explains this cleanse in “Liver Rescue” and “Cleanse to Heal”. The version in “Cleanse to Heal” is the more updated version.

The meat options for the Original 369 cleanse are limited to chicken or beef. You need to stay away from Pork as it thickens the blood, and stay away from fish has a lot of mercury.

If you choose to eat meat while you are trying to heal, try to keep your serving to one a day. In “Liver Rescue” AW explains that protein = fat. If you are trying to heal, you need to keep your fat intake down OR eliminate it for a bit.

AW also talks about how fats do not help you cleanse to heal. There is a lot of info in “Liver Rescue” about how fats affect the liver.

You heal slower when you cheat and have a lot of meat and fat while you are trying to heal!

Meat and Endometriosis

AW also mentions how meat may affect someone with endometriosis in his Apple Podcast. He says it may be a good idea to stay away from meat for at least a month because when you eat meat you are also consuming the adrenaline of the animal you are eating. Their adrenaline was coursing through their bodies before they died as it is a natural, fearful response to death.

Animals also have toxins and things in them that we have to process after consumption. The bigger the animal, the more adrenaline and toxins may be present in the meat you consume. This is why it is so important to have grass-fed and open-range meat as well.

The adrenaline from animals and even your own adrenaline is a corrosive material that your liver has to disarm and process after an adrenaline response. If your liver is fatty and sluggish because of a high-fat diet or viral load in the liver, then it has a harder time doing this.

Your body has the ability to heal even through all these challenges, but you may want to take a break from eating meat if your viral and toxic load call for it.

MY VIEW ON MEAT IN MY HEALING JOURNEY

Many people I follow for MM recipes on Social Media stay away from meat. The groups I am in also ask for ways to stay away from it in general as well.

I am just simply not there yet in my healing journey.

Part of the reason I don’t think I can stay away from meat is that my husband is a meat-eater. In fact, he tried to stay away from meat in high school for fasting reasons during Lent and got extremely sick as a result. He is not giving up meat any time soon!

I also love a good steak so that is something I don’t think I want to give up just yet.

I also struggle a lot with trying to find ways for my husband and me to eat together while following the MM lifestyle. I have changed my eating habits and lifestyle a lot since finding MM. My husband is very reluctant to join me in this healing journey and still has pizza 4x a week.

Therefore, I’ve decided to just worry about myself for the time being. I’m working on healing stage 4 Epstein Barr virus as well as endometriosis for fertility and acne. I try to just do me for my cleanses, but when I cheat by eating the no foods list, it is usually because we go out to eat or there is a party, or we travel.

Following this lifestyle is extremely difficult when no one around you complies with no gluten, dairy, or eggs! I have to make all my own foods as well because it is hard to find processed foods that comply with no ingredients from the trouble maker food list. (More on this in another post coming soon!)

In general, I stay away from meat during a cleanse unless I’m doing the Original 3,6,9 Liver Cleanse.

Additionally, I try to eat fat-free each morning to follow the liver rescue morning protocol which helps your liver process toxins and fats better than you may have had the previous day. Most days, I stay fat-free until dinner.

MY VIEW ON THIS MM MEATLOAF

It is nice to have something that both my husband and I like that will comply with my Medical Medium protocols. I know I can fall back on this recipe when I’m ready to figure out how to make healthy, home-cooked meals work for both of us consistently.

MEDICAL MEDIUM FREINDLY MEATLOAF RECIPIE

Servings=4-6

Prep time=20-30 mins

Cook time=60 mins

Difficulty=Medium

Description=A Medical Medium friendly meatloaf that changes out bread crumbs for GF oats and eggs for flax eggs. This recipe was approved by my husband who is a very picky eater!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1 Flaxseed egg =
  • 1 tbs flaxseed meal (ground up flax seed)
  • 2.5 tbs water
  • Olive oil to coat the pan (optional)
  • Ketchup (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix your flax egg and let sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. Prepare onion by chopping or grating or using a food processor to make it fine.
  4. Mix oats, flax egg, cut or ground up onion and meat in a bowl. (You can also add more seasoning here if you wish like salt, pepper, garlic powder).
  5. Form loaf in greased pan or line the pan with parchment paper.
  6. Optional: coat the top with ketchup. It does stay together better with this coating on top.
  7. Cook for 1 hour.
  8. The internal temperature of the meatloaf should be 165-170 F.

MY CELERY JUICE ROUTINE

I’m not going to lie, celery juice is not the most appetizing thing I’ve ever had.

However, the benefits of it FAR outweigh the not-so-amazing taste. I MISS IT when I don’t have my celery juice for a couple of days because it makes me feel so good!

I have been drinking 32oz. Of celery juice most days since August 2020. Keep reading more to find out how I prep and make my celery juice each day!

BUYING CELERY

Organic Vs. Conventional

Anthony William (AW), the Medical Medium (MM) recommends you buy organic when you can. Organic foods are not sprayed with pesticides as part of their cultivation process.

The usda.gov site states that organic foods are grown and processed under federal guidelines to regulate many factors of organic food. Organic producers need to rely on natural substances without the use of synthetic chemicals (fertilizers and pesticides) to help in the growing and harvesting process. Certified organic produce should have been grown in soil that has had no prohibited substances applied for 3 years prior to harvest.

However, MM states that organic foods still need to be prepped and washed in similar ways to conventional foods because pesticides and chemicals can travel in the air. The organic farms can get clouds of pesticides that may come into the air from adjacent farms.

There is also the issue of finding organic celery. Celery juice is very popular. Many people do not consume it correctly, but it has been a trend on social media because famous people who started posting about it didn’t explain it was from a Medical Medium. This causes the chronically ill to be confused about these tools and how to use them properly.

Conventional Celery

Cost

Organic celery was 3x more than conventional celery.

2 cut celery hearts that only yielded 16 ounces cost me $3. One regular-sized conventional celery heart that yielded about 24 oz of celery juice cost about $1.19. Prices have gone up with the pandemic as well so organic is just out of my range when I have 32 oz. a day.

I was only drinking 16 oz. of celery when buying organic.

Additionally, buying celery juice from a juice bar costs me $7 for only 16 oz. This is not feasible with my budget. They also didn’t wash the celery before juicing and they used a really fast centrifugal juicer. They also didn’t strain it at the end either.

Therefore, I stick with conventional celery that I juice on my own and soak it in a bin with plant-based soap to clean it well before consuming it. (More on this next.)

I buy about 12-14 bunches a week.

CLEANING CELERY

I prepare my celery to use for my juice for about 4-5 days at a time. It varies depending on how big the celery is. I usually get a solid 4 days out of the steps I follow below.

These are steps with pictures:

1. Clear out the dishes from the sink.

2. Fill up a 2-gallon bin in the sink with lukewarm water.

3. Put a squirt of 7th generation soap in the bin.

4. Take 6-7 celery hearts and remove the plastic.

5. Cut the tops off about ½ of an inch as well as the bottom.

6. Move the celery around a bit to break up the hearts so the soapy water will get on all the celery.

7. Put the celery in the bin to soak for about 20 minutes to a couple of hours if I have to go somewhere.

Update 9-9-22; I no longer let my celery stalks sit in the wash bin. I just rinse them and run my finger down the center. Someone mentioned in the Facebook group that leaving it sitting in water isn’t good for the celery. It absorbs too much of the toxic faucet water. Hope this helps:)

8. Dump the water and celery into the sink.

9. Rinse the bin out and put it in a place to dry.

10. Clear out the drying rack if needed.

11. Rinse off the celery one stalk at a time being sure to run your finger over the center of it as this is the best way to wash the celery.

12. Place cleaned celery on a drying rack.

13. Make celery juice if needed.

14. Put the rest of the celery stalks in a drawer in the fridge.

15. Clean the juicer and let dry in the drying rack.

Medical Medium does not say this but I know from yoga and learning about chakras that you have a lot of chakras in your hands. People can also do energy work to heal and a lot of that comes through the hands to move energy. I think that this could be why this method is so effective in cleaning the celery.

MAKING CELERY JUICE

I tried juicing celery in my Nutribullet one time before I did my first 369 cleanse in August of 2020. It didn’t work at all. I would have had to add water to get it to juice, and MM says that water destroys the celery juice’s power. So this was not going to work.

Therefore, I made the decision to make an investment in my health and bought a $300 juicer. The good thing is that it has lasted me an entire 1.5 years and it is still going strong. It was worth every penny because it is easy to clean and yields a lot of juice. The pulp is almost dry which means it extracts all the juice from the fiber.

MM says it is a medical machine. I made the investment in myself and my health!

I try to make the celery fresh each morning, but sometimes I make it at night for the next day so it saves me about 10 minutes to 15 minutes in the morning. I am not a morning person so this does help me get ready faster when I prepare it at night.

MM says that celery juice is good for 24 hours after it is juiced but it does lose its potency each hour. He does not recommend drinking celery juice after 24 hours of juicing. When I juice at night it sits for about 10 hours.

On the weekends I always make it fresh in the morning. Some days during the week I will make it fresh in the morning as well.

CLEANING UP

A quick rinse of all the equipment is sufficient for most days. Once a week I will use the soap and a sponge to do a thorough cleaning. Another option is to run the equipment through the top of the dishwashing machine.

It takes me only 2-3 minutes to rinse all the equipment but it takes me about 10 minutes to clean it thoroughly with soap. It also takes me about 2-3 minutes to put it in the dishwasher, but washing it in my hand always gets more mineral deposits off. Getting into all the nooks and crannies of the main juicing part is best with hand.

HOW LONG DOES ALL THIS TAKE?

It takes me 9 minutes to clean 6-7 celery hearts and minutes to run it through the juicer. It takes another 10 minutes to use soap and clean the juicer well. It only takes 2 minutes to rinse on a quick wash.

TIPS ON CONSUMING CELERY JUICE

If you have never had celery juice in the past then I highly recommend you start slow.

Start with about 4-8oz at first and sip it slowly through the morning. When you guzzle the juice down then you may have an intense reaction like having to use the bathroom very quickly in an emergency situation.

If you ever had diarrhea in your life; you will have diarrhea drinking celery juice. The celery juice does not cause diarrhea but it is a powerful medicine that moves all the gunk in your digestive tract which causes diarrhea.

The gunk is from the rancid, undigested proteins and fat that stick to the intestinal lining. It is also this putrefied and rancid material that strep (a bacteria) likes to feed on. MM said in a recent Tik Tok video that if you ever feel cramping and discomfort in your lower right abdomen, it is from things you are trying to digest from getting stuck in the ilium and the opening into the ilium.

Celery juice helps with digestion and killing off pathogens in the body and so much more! MM has an entire book dedicated just to Celery Juice!

TASTE

I don’t think it is unpleasant, but sometimes it can be bitter so that is when it is not as pleasant.

Celery can be bitter when the celery is smaller and greener. Also, if you juice more of the leaves the juice will be a bit more bitter. I will still drink it if it is bitter because I know how healing it is.

Celery juice tastes like celery! I can taste the sodium cluster salts that give it a bit of a salty taste, but the salt is not unpleasant like too much salt on your food. The salt is in a very hydrating liquid so it isn’t like having table salt at all.

I prefer to get the bigger light green stalks that tend to be a bit juicier. They are the most pleasant tasting. Sometimes you can’t tell what kind of stalk you will get from the outside of the celery heart.
